We Have Two Choices
“He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” (Matt. 12:30)
As I see it, today we have to make one of two choices, are we for God or are we against him? We are living in a world that is being divided into two sides. On the one side we have those who love the Lord Jesus Christ and who stand ready to defend Him and His Laws. On the other side we have those who want nothing to do with Him. Those who mock and deride Him at every chance they get. I believe this division is becoming more and more obvious the closer we come to our Lord’s return.
In the world today we have the option of choosing light or darkness. “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” (1Peter 3:12) The global distress and confusion that is going on is a sign that Jesus is about to return. Our Israel people must soon stand up and be counted on the side of Jesus Christ, our Lord, or be destroyed. There is so much evil in this world today that it cannot possibly go on much longer. Our Christian Israel nations have lost the rudder that guides them. We have lost the ability to know what is right and what is wrong. We have forsaken our God and His Laws and we are now floundering. “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” (Rom. 8:22)
Another indication of our great falling away is that people are able to ridicule Jesus Christ and we are supposed to accept it without any argument! If anyone were to ridicule Mohammed or Buddha there would be cries of outrage! Where are our cries of outrage at the degradation of Jesus Christ? He is being attacked from all sides. His very Deity is being questioned and we stand by as onlookers, afraid to say anything. We are indeed the LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. We must listen to the words of 2Peter 1:10 “Wherefore the rather brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.” I also like Rom. 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
In this world gone mad we must have “diligence, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and charity.” I believe many people out there do not even know what they believe. They are empty. Unfortunately these same people turn aside as soon as you mention the hope that is in Jesus Christ. They are choosing the side of darkness, against God. “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1Peter 5:8).
We are now living in a time of war. This war is involving the whole world in one-way or another. Peace marches and angry demonstrations are happening throughout the globe. It is time to choose whose side you are on. “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold, that perisheth though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”(1Peter 1:7)
We are in a time of great crisis. There is war, financial hardship, environmental disasters, disease, and untold suffering throughout the world. We know that the time of our Lord’s return is near. I ask you to please choose the side of Light in Jesus Christ. He is the hope of a world in turmoil and we must pray his return is near. “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” (Rev. 3:11)
Hold fast, watch and pray and may you have peace in the comfort of Jesus Christ.
