We Can Save Ourselves
There are people in the Israel Truth movement that believe the prophet Job was symbolic of Israel; I agree. Job was a very rich and very righteous man who fell into hard times because God gave his welfare into the hands of Satan. Job’s friends said he was a sinner and deserved the disasters that befell him. Job complained that he did not deserve what came upon him and challenged God to appear and explain why those horrible things had happened to him. God appeared and explained that His ways are righteous and that Job could not understand the ways of God. God pointed to creation and showed Job that creation was much bigger than Job. During this discourse, Job said, “ Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.” Job 40:4-5. Then God said, “Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty. Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret. Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.” Job 40:10-14. After his time of trouble Job finally humbled himself before God and his honor was restored
Compare this story to that of the Anglo-Saxon people. They were righteous, spreading the Gospel all over the world. They were rich. The British Empire, followed by the United States of America, accumulated great wealth. They were admired by the rest of the world for their wisdom and ingenuity. Then Satan attacked. He brought down the British Empire with the Nazi regime. He is preparing to bring down the United States with the Russia-China conglomerate. He has polluted our halls of learning with atheism and the doctrine of evolution. He has morally corrupted our people with fornication and pornography. He has taken the Bible out of our schools and even out of many of our churches. Surely, we must be in the time of Jacob’s trouble.
Learning from the book of Job we must heed God when he says, “Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.” We can save ourselves! We only need to humble ourselves before God. All of us need to look at our lives and humbly confess our sins to God. That is the key to greatness for our people. After Job repented, he was restored to greatness and had it increased to much more than he had before his time of trouble. God appeared to Job and God is going to appear to our people. Jesus Christ is going to return to earth to set up his kingdom and restore our people to greatness beyond what we were before. But we must humble ourselves. We must stop thinking of ourselves as the great Anglo-Saxon people. We are not great – not anymore. We are sinners. We should learn to shut our mouths like Job did and listen to God. God speaks to us by the Bible.
God also spoke to Job by pointing him to creation, to the majesty of the earth and the stars of heaven. He spoke of the angels and the creatures of earth, of lions, ravens, goats, hinds, wild asses, unicorns, peacocks, ostriches, horses, grasshoppers, hawks, and eagles; also behemoth and leviathan. God created all of them.
We are in the time of Jacob’s trouble. God is going to bring our pride down to the ground. Satan is going to torment the Anglo-Saxon people until we cry out to God. It is going to get a lot worse and wickedness is going to increase in our lands as God allows Satan to have power over us. I believe the message for our people is: We can save ourselves! All we have to do as a people is humble ourselves before God, repent, and listen to him. But our people will not do it! We will suffer through this time of trouble until it gets so bad that we call out to God. “Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.” Jeremiah 30:7.
