The Wolf is Coming

Most of you must know the story of the boy who cried, “Wolf!” The villagers came twice to protect their sheep only to find that the boy had been joking and was laughing at them. The third time he yelled, “Wolf!” there actually was a wolf but they did not believe him, so the wolf had its way with the flock. There is a danger in dismissing our warnings about what is coming just because we keep repeating them. In the Israel Truth movement, we talk about the coming of a great recession, a third world war, and the return of Christ. We seldom put dates on these events, but I have found that when we write or talk about these events people think we are making predictions for this year.

One man I talked to told me the demise of “British Israel” came when “they” predicted the coming of Christ to be in 1958. I had grown up in the British Israel movement and had never heard of such a thing, so I did some research on it. I found that there were a few writers who made that prediction based on measurements from the “Great Pyramid”, however I could not find widespread agreement on it amongst Israel Truth believers. This reminded me of an article that came out in an Israel Truth publication many years ago saying the Japanese are Israelites. This one article is still used by critics to mock and ridicule the Israel Truth movement. However, to be honest, you cannot judge a movement by one article or even by the statements of a small group of people within a larger movement.

I have been writing articles for many years about the coming Third World War. Seven years ago, I wrote an article putting forth the question of whether the year 2026 would be the year the war would end based on numbers from the book of Daniel, adding 1335 years to the completion year 691 of the mosque of Omar in the holy land. I did not say that would be the year, but I put the question out to people about the possibility of that being the year. We are not saying, “This is the Word of the Lord!” but rather are saying we are modern day scribes trying to interpret the Bible. I encourage you to read and study and come to your own conclusions about prophecy. God wants all of us to be enthusiastic Bible students.

When the Third World War comes, I hope our Israel people are ready for it. Firstly, I hope Brexit happens. If it does not, British soldiers will find themselves under the command of German, French, and Italian generals. These people are not descendants of Joseph. It was Joseph who was given the bow to defeat his enemies. (Genesis 49:24). The forces of Communism will be defeated primarily by the United States and countries of the British Commonwealth, for that is where the descendants of Joseph are. However, the prophecy also says the hands of God will help Joseph to draw back the bow, so we had better not cut ourselves off from God or we will find that we are too weak to defend ourselves. British politicians are making a mess of things with their squabbling and if the people become discouraged by all of the chaos being created, they may want to return to Europe. Citizens of the U.K. have to realize that their hope is in God, not in Europe.

In the United States members of Congress have been accusing President Trump of everything they can think of. This has hampered the abilities of Congress and the office of the President to govern because they are always in conflict with each other. Therefore, it is not only Britain that is in chaos. When it was revealed that Russia interfered with the U.S. presidential election people jumped to the conclusion that Donald Trump had colluded with the Russians. However, there is no proof of that according to the Mueller report. People forget that Donald Trump stated before the presidential election that NATO was obsolete and that he did not think the U.S. should defend NATO countries that don’t pay their fair share of defence spending. I believe that was when the Russians decided to support Donald Trump. However, he did not make that statement in secret to the Russians. He announced it to the whole world. He made that statement because he is a businessman, not a politician. He saw that NATO was a bad business deal for the United States. The United States has been pouring money into NATO while some other NATO countries are not paying their fair share. However, some NATO countries have now increased their defence spending, so it may be that instead of weakening NATO, Donald Trump has actually made it stronger. My hope is that Canada will put more money into NATO because we are one of the countries that are not giving our fair share to defense. As I write this article there is news that Russian nuclear capable bombers have flown close to Alaska, to be met by American F22 fighter jets. They did not enter American air space but were perhaps testing the U.S. forces to see how quickly they would respond and with what force. Nobody knows what would start a Third World War, but I believe it will start in the Middle East. The players that are all in place are mentioned in Ezekiel chapter 38. The war will bring about the fall of Babylon (world empire without God) with violence and fire as mentioned in Revelation chapter 18: 8 and 21. I believe the war will only last about a year. With modern technology, conflicts can be resolved very quickly. The destruction of Babylon is prophesied to take place in one day (Revelation 18:8), perhaps prophetic of one year, a year for a day. At the end of the day is mass destruction for one hour (Revelation 18:19). If one day is prophetically one year then one hour is prophetically about two weeks [Ed. 15 years or days] of time. Could those two weeks be when nuclear weapons will be deployed? When people see what is coming, they will be paralyzed by fear. “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” Luke 21:26.

Seven years ago I wrote about the possibility of 2026 A.D. being the year that ends the Third World War. If the war only lasts a year that means it would start in 2025 or 2026 A.D. That is only six or seven years away! Then we will see if I was the boy who foolishly cried, “Wolf!” If nothing happens, we can thank God for the peace that we have. If we have war, we can thank God that he has a plan for the destruction of Babylon and the coming of the Kingdom age.
