The Protestant Church has been prophetically honoured in having two Queens bearing the name of Elizabeth, a name which means, “God, My Swearer”. The Reformation and the accession of Elizabeth I to the throne and her ordering the Bible to be set up and read in English in every Church could well be called the “High Noon” of these latter days. And now, with Queen Elizabeth II on the same Davidic throne, we are approaching the “Midnight Hour” when “The Bridegroom cometh”.
