Let God Be True
God promised Abraham that He would make him a great and mighty nation (Gen. 12:2). He told him that his descendants would be as the dust of the earth and the sand of the seashore in number (Gen. 15:5, 22:17).
Later, God expanded this promise and said that Abraham would be the father of many nations Gen. 17:4,6) and that kings would come from his loins (Gen. 17:6,16). God also made it clear that these promises would not be fulfilled in Ishmael, but in Isaac (Gen. 17:16, 20-21).
God promised Isaac that his descendants would possess the gates of their enemies (Gen. 22:17, 24:60), that they would dominate all other nations and that no weapon formed against them would prosper (Isa. 54:17). They were God’s chosen ones (Deut. 7:6) and would be the chief of nations (Deut. 15:6). Indeed, the Scriptures tell us that the only way ancient Israel could ever be defeated was if they were disobedient to God (Deut. 28:15-68).
God also told Isaac that his descendants would be a benevolent people who would be a blessing to the whole world (Gen. 22:18). They would be the custodians of His Word (Psa. 147:19-20, Isa. 59:21) and spread His Word (Isa. 43:21, 49:6, 66:19)!
Now Isaac had two sons, Esau and Jacob. But before either of them were born, God decided in His sovereignty that He loved Jacob and hated Esau (Rom. 9:11-13), so all these promises were passed on to Jacob. God made this very clear in Gen. 28:13,14 and 35:9-11 when He reiterated them to Jacob and changed his name to Israel, meaning, prince ruling with God. In other words, Jacob-Israel’s descendants would do the works of God.
Israel’s descendants were to bear all these earmarks. The land, the power, the wealth and the multitudinous seed are Israel’s destiny. But where are those people today?
If God’s Word be true … then there must be a people in the world who bear all these marks. Who are they? Where is this multitude of nations (Gen. 48:19)? What people has controlled the gates of their enemies throughout history? Who has taken God’s Word to the world? What people have been Christian since the time of Christ? Does this describe the Africans? The Asians? The Jews? Another mark of Israel is that they were to have a perpetual royal family, a monarchy. God promised Abraham and Sarah that kings would come from them (Gen. 17:6,16). This promise was passed on to Judah in Gen. 49:10, where we read “the sceptre shall not depart from Judah.” Later, God promised King David, of the tribe of Judah, that his throne would endure as long as long as there is a sun and a moon in the sky; and He made this promise in the most explicit language, swearing by His Own holiness (please read Psa. 89:29-37).
Again, if God’s Word be true . . . where is that throne today? It has to be around here someplace, because when Jesus returns to set up His glorious Kingdom here on the earth (Matt. 6:10), He will be given that very throne . . . the throne of David. “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” Luke 1:32-33
Amen! This is going to happen! But again, I ask, where is that throne? And who are the people who bear the marks of Israel?
We believe that throne is in Britain, and that the people of the Book are to be found in none other than the Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, Scandinavian, Celtic and kindred people.
We bear ALL of the marks of Israel, and have experienced all of the blessings and curses ascribed to Israel in the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy. Not only that, our ancient ancestors, the Khumri, also known as the Scythians, first appear on the pages of history at the same time and place where the Israelites of the Assyrian Captivity are last seen in Scripture!
It fits historically, anthropologically, archaeologically, and just plain logically! We have been His servant nation. We have been the colonizers of the waste places. We have been the dominant people of the world. We are a nation and company of nations. We have spread His Word throughout the world. We are the People of the Book!
Skeptical? So was American founding father Thomas Paine. He said that he did not believe in God or the Bible because God never kept His Word to Israel. He said that all of the Promises that God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not fulfilled in the Jew, but were rather fulfilled in the Anglo-Saxon people. He died an atheist.
Charles Bradlaugh, another notable atheist, had the same argument. He said: “God a God of truth! Why, He promised to Abraham in the most solemn words, He repeated His promise, and He has not kept His word. This Bible, which reveals the attributes of Almighty God, tells us that God condescended to swear to a puny man that He would establish his kingdom for ever, and that his seed should be as numerous as the sand upon the seashore. That promise was reiterated and sworn to by God, and I ask, Where is that kingdom now? Where? Do not tell me that He meant it figuratively; do not tell me that it is not literal. God swore that it should be for ever. He established it, and now it is a thing of the past, and you tell me that the God of the Bible always speaks the truth. I do not believe it!”
This is a terrible accusation, and is indeed unanswerable, unless it is understood that we – the Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Germanic, Scandinavian and kindred peoples – are indeed the descendants of Israel. This truth destroys Bradlaugh’s accusation, proves the Bible true, and silences the infidel.
If Paine and Bradlaugh had only realized that their argument against God was the clinching evidence in support of the faithfulness of God and the verity of His Word, how different their final end could have been!
People of the Book, we have turned away from God and, because of this, the world is in an awful mess today. The many nations of Israel are being overrun with foreigners seeking to destroy us, just as God said it would be if we were ever to turn away from following Him (Deut. 28:43).
If we are ever to enjoy the blessing of God again, if we are to ever have peace in the world again, we MUST repent of our sin and return to God with our whole heart. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
