Days Of Noah Or Now
Good day to each of you—2023 will definitely be a year to remember by the looks of world events. There will be days of definite despair, but remember God is in control. DO NOT LOSE FAITH!
Before we start on the subject at hand, let’s laugh a bit:
*The man approached a very beautiful woman in a large supermarket and asked, “You know, I’ve lost my wife here in the supermarket. Can you talk to me for a couple of minutes?” “Why?” she asks. “Because every time I talk to a beautiful woman, my wife appears out of nowhere.”
*The woman applying for a job in a Florida lemon grove seemed way too qualified for the job.
Look Miss,” said the foreman, “have you any actual experience in picking lemons?”
“Well, as a matter of fact, yes!” she replied. “I’ve been divorced three times.”
to finish it off: little girl in church: “Why is the bride dressed in white?”
Mommy: “White is the color of joy, and today is most joyful day of her life.”
Little Girl: “Then why is the groom wearing black?”
Laughter—the best medicine for all of us—Share a joke or two and make someone laugh, it will brighten everyone’s day.
2023 has definitely started off with a BANG! We are finishing our 2nd month and the best word I can describe is tumultuous! Each day seems to bring more tragedy, strife and stress as we carry forward, but with this calamity, is the peace that we know, not think, but know we will be entered into the kingdom. I can’t think of any better insurance plan!
The focus of my lesson is, and follow me on this, a different slant on the verses below—Take a moment and read the following verses:
When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day..In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all.“And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business—eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building—until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.Yes, it will be ‘business as usual’ right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed. Luke 17:26-30 paraphrased.
A few days ago, I was reading those verses three times and then I went out and began my weeding in preparation for the spring crops. Folks, if you haven’t tried gardening, try it—you do your best thinking on your knees with a big blue sky, fresh air, working in the dirt and seeing things close up that you normally never notice.
Need I diverse, the thought came to me of the word revealed. Why has God revealed these verses to me? Why did he ask me to write about this subject? We have heard these verses so many times, but why?
Then the words the Lord shut him in Genesis 7:16 (b) came to Noah for his task of building the ark was complete.
When we look at the time of Noah, the Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. Genesis 6:5
Folks, this is the exact time that we are living in today—If you have just climbed out of your rock, then you must agree that maybe you should climb back under that rock.
So well put is the theme that our society is plunging to new lows to see what evil thoughts and actions one can come up with to shock those watching. Whether it be television, the movies, cable or the internet, the thoughts of those controlling entertainment is evil all the time.
You may disagree, but shows like the Andy Griffith Show, Green Acres, Perry Mason, Dick Van Dyke, Gomer Pyle, Rawhide, Wagon Train, or the Rifleman would never stand a chance of getting on the airwaves.
Genesis 6:11-12 goes on to say, Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways (Sound familiar) full of violence and all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. Not one country, not one city, not one tribe, but all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.
Yes, we have so many on this earth who are corrupt in our ways, but we have many who are heeding his word of when He returns.
When the flood came, Noah’s family was spared and when Sodom & Gomorrah was destroyed, Lot and some of family were spared. Their families heeded God’s advice of what He was going to do and how He was carrying out his plan. Proverbs 20:12 (NLT) says- Ears to hear and eyes to see-both are gifts from theLord.
My belief is that God hath given us the good news that the Son of Man will soon be revealed and that we should let our family, friends, loved ones and those around us know that the time is short, very short for the Son of Man to return.
Fellow Christian, God hath given you and I the gifts of ears to hear and eyes to see and with those gifts be very careful of what you put into your mind for each of us will be accountable one day of the time we spent on earth and if we said and did what was in accordance to the ways of God.
In closing, I must believe that “mystery Babylon” is quickly crumbling for the names of prominent celebrities, politicians, royals and financial capitalists are being released from the Jeffrey Epstein court documents. The darkness of Jeffrey Epstein and those associated with him are now being exposed to the light and many “big names” will have to be accountable for their actions.
So, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me”. John 14:1 (KJV).
