Apocalypse 2020

“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” (Dan. 2:44)

Well, my friends, welcome to the new world!

The old has passed away and we are now facing a new system totally foreign to anything any of us have ever seen, or are used to. Man is a social animal, man needs to interact with man, for by nature man has a herd mentality, yet under the new system we are forced to disregard the norm and distance ourselves even from relatives and friends. From all the information that we can get, we know that all over the globe most if not all nations are in some stage of lockdown and everywhere we look, the local and world economy is going to pot. All the nations are marching in lockstep and all are marching to the same drummer. The New World Order is rearing its ugly head, and all under the guise and veil of the corona virus. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am not making light of this virus, but logic and common sense should prevail over the fear tactics being employed by our officials. The top Provincial Medical Officer here in B.C. has for the last ten weeks or so expounded the same dire message over and over again with very little deviation, almost like a propaganda machine to the point where some people are afraid to go to the store for even a loaf of bread or a bottle of milk, the point being that if you repeat something often enough sooner rather than later most everybody will believe it. In every locale the authorities were gearing up for hundreds if not thousands of fatalities because of the dire predictions regarding this virus, but as of this writing, the fatality rate hovers at about 0.0145 to 0.0256% of the population both here in Canada and the U.S., and the fact is people are getting fed-up with all the restrictions imposed on them and are starting to protest in all parts of our nations.

A few days ago while driving through town I saw fifteen to twenty people at one of the busy intersections all waving placards decrying this situation, of which two really stood out and drew my attention. One was a middle-aged man holding up the Canadian flag and in the other hand a sign saying I am a Canadian, give me back my liberties. The other sign was held by a woman saying give us back our jobs and give me back my church. You know, during WW2, King George of Great Britain called his people on a couple of occasions to come together for a national day of prayer during Britain’s time of distress and peril and I remember seeing pictures of people cueing to get into the churches to pray to our Heavenly Father for deliverance during those perilous days. Now prayer is always a very essential tool in every Christian’s life and as individuals we should always endeavor to avail ourselves of that privilege, but as the Lord states in 2Chron. 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” You notice that God said, “my people”, meaning all collectively, not you as individuals, for there is strength in numbers when we all come together at the same time to petition the Almighty God in time of distress and peril. But, alas, that privilege is bring denied us, for by Government mandate our churches remain closed. The irony of it all is that in this is, not just national, but an international dilemma, not once has the Almighty God of Heaven been mentioned or considered, all attention is focused on the false god, government, to get us out of this predicament, and many, even most, Bible believing Christians are paying homage to this golden image.

In the not too distant past, we have had other virus problems, namely the Nile virus and more recently the SARS virus some nine years ago. With proper precaution and God’s mercy we survived them, and one interesting fact is that the SARS virus was a corona virus and the current corona virus is in the SARS strain of viruses. I know some of you will say, but this one is much worse, that might be so but common sense as in any other illness will go a long way in keeping you well and healthy. Be not afraid for we serve an awesome God, who has no pleasure in the demise of His loved ones. If we serve Him with all our heart and all our mind and with all our strength, He will protect us from all sickness and all diseases. (Deut 7:12-15). Our Lord will protect us as an Eagle will protect her chicks, He will cover us with the wings of an Eagle and comfort us with His everlasting Presence. No illness or sickness, no evil deed of Satan can or will ever separate us from our Lord, for He bought us at a price and we are His unto Eternity!
