A Rapidly Changing World

“And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the Lord; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the Lord’s.” (Ex. 9:29)

“Hear ye, O mountains, the Lord’s controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.” (Micah 6:2)

We are living in such a rapidly changing world where all of the foundations that made our Israel nations great are falling away. It continues to amaze me that people cannot see that ever since we turned our backs on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and have not lived in obedience to the Law that God gave us for our own good we have fallen into chaos. We have been whittling away at the foundations of our faith and the foundations that our forefathers relied on when our nations were founded. We seem to have completely forgotten all these things and have turned away from God. As a result God has “a controversy” with us and is trying to get our attention. The whole world is suffering because we have turned away from God and Jesus Christ whom He sent to save us. He is always there waiting for us to turn back to Him.

The earth itself is the Lord’s and we are rapidly destroying it. We were to be caretakers of the earth and all that lives in it but instead over the years we have used and abused all that the earth can give us. “Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.” (Hos. 4:3) The Lord has a warning for those that will not take heed and continue to destroy His creation, “And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” (Rev.1:18)

According to an article I recently read on end-times-prophecy.org in their event summary for 2014 regarding animal deaths there have been 638 known MASS death events in 76 countries. This is only for 2014 alone. According to them many people are saying they have never seen anything like this before. Although fish and animals have had massive die offs throughout history the ones we are seeing now are huge and are happening consistently.

One incident on the list is here in British Columbia, 20th December 2014 – 250,000 birds killed due to avian flu in British Columbia, Canada. Here are just a few more incidents from December alone on their list, 18th December 2014 – 30 MILLION dead fish wash up along 30Km of Lake Poopo in Bolivia. 20th December 2014 – 1,200 young turtles have washed ashore during past 2 months in Cape Cod, Mass. America. 15th December 2014 – 300,000 salmon dead due to invasion of Jellyfish in the Western Isles, Scotland. 9th December 2014 – 400,000+ fish have died in a lake in Florida, America. 4th December 2014 – Hundreds of thousands of mussels wash ashore ‘a mystery’ on a beach in South Africa. 1st December 2014 – 50,000 more birds to be killed due to avian flu in Zoeterwoude, Netherlands.

These were just a few from December on their list. There are many more for December and an awful lot more for the whole year. Not on the list was a dead pregnant Orca whale found off the west coast of Vancouver Island just recently. They believe that she starved to death. A few years ago I was on a whale watching tour up in Johnstone Strait off the northern east coast of Vancouver Island. A Marine Biologist on the boat said that the Orca whales that live around the southern part of Vancouver Island are in big trouble due to pollution and lack of food. The ones that live further up are doing a bit better but still have problems with pollution.

What are we doing to our earth? The problems are so severe now it seems impossible to fix them. These are all signs that show we are living in the last days and it is time that we draw closer to our Lord.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.” (Psa. 24:1-6)
