A New Revelation God’s Great Plan In Action
Last month I wrote an article entitled “{ln:Esau, Time is Running Out}” wherein I utilized certain numbers to reflect what might be God’s Plan for Jerusalem (and the modern Israeli State). One morning after it had gone to print, I woke up realizing I had overlooked what might have been the most important clue of all. For those who read the article, you might be interested in the following recap.
- 1517 AD Turks conquer Jerusalem and incorporate it in their empire.
- 400 years later – 400 meaning a “Divinely Perfect Period” (Bullinger’s Number in Scripture) British Ephraim liberates Jerusalem. The Balfour Declaration promises homeland for Jews and Jews begin to stream into Palestine.
- 1947 – 30 years later the United Nations votes to create the modern Israeli State, thus fulfilling the difference of thirty years between Daniel 12: 7 and Daniel 12:11 (Dowsett). 30 denotes, in a higher degree, the perfection of divine order, as marking the right moment. (Bullinger)
- 1967 – 20 years from 1947 the modern Israeli State gains total control of Jerusalem. They had anticipated control in 1947 but a war with neighbours saw Jerusalem control divided between themselves and Jordan, despite their expectation it would be part of the modern Israeli State. 20 denotes “expectancy” (Bullinger).
- 1967 – 50 years from 1917 the modern Israeli State becomes complete with the addition of Jerusalem. 50 denotes in part “deliverance.” (Bullinger)
- 2007 – 40 years after 1967. 40 denotes “Trials, testing and Probation.” We know the modern Israeli State has undergone severe testing in the past forty years but have to wonder whether they are on probation, that is given time to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, that is, they, “who would not have him reign over them.”
The number I missed is the period from 1517 to 2007, or 490 years, equivalent to the seventy weeks prophecy of Daniel 9:24. Is this another fulfillment of the prophecy, much like 490 years (ten jubilees) or seventy weeks for True Israel, i.e., from the beginning of Protestantism in 1517 (Martin Luther nailing the 95 thesis on the Wittenberg Church) to 2007? Interestingly, Bullinger records that the number 490 marks the product of spiritual perfection with regard to the working out of Jerusalem’s number.
As an aside, Ed Vallowe in his book, Biblical Mathematics, records that “sixty” seems to stand for pride and as substantiating evidence records Nebuchadnezzar’s words of Pride in Daniel 4:30, Is not this great Babylon, My power, and for the honour of My Majesty.” He then repeats God’s admonition to the king, “O King Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken, the kingdom is departed from thee.” The period between 1947 and 1967 is sixty years and the modern Israeli State has certainly been filled with pride.
As Ed Vallowe wrote, “Numbers are the Secret Code of God’s Word.” Who could possibly doubt this?
Remember, the prophet Amos said God will reveal everything. (Amos 3:7)
