2016 New Years Message
From Wm Savage, Past President of ACP
Another year of mercies prove
God’s boundless care, His matchless love
So let us all our voices raise,
To Him in joyful songs of praise.
In the words of Our Saviour we are “in the world, but not of the world”, i.e. we are to be of God’s Kingdom, not of the Kingdoms of this world. Thus we may be at peace in a world which is in turmoil. Again, in the words of Our Lord, “There shall be wars and rumours of wars, see that ye be not troubled. May God give us power to live in this faith.
It may seem incongruous to express the wish “A Happy New Year” amid the forebodings of world events, but that is what we do wish for all and pray that you may enjoy it in good Christian spirit throughout the year.
From Bob Vermaat, President, ACP
Well, dear friends, another year has come to an end, and the future at this time does not look very promising for the Christian West and Christians in particular. The year 2015 was a year of much strife in the Middle East, with ongoing war and terrorism spreading to the West, and there is no end in sight. The New Year of our Lord, 2016, does not, at this time, look to be any different from its predecessor, and could turn out to be even more difficult given the fact that thousands of people from that war torn region and North Africa are inundating and over running the white Christian nations of the West, with thousands also destined for North America, which may forever change the landscape of all our Israel nations. All is uncertainty, but we must trust that our Heavenly Father is still in control and I wish that through His benevolence you all may have a blessed 2016.
From Brooks Alden, Editor TKC Magazine
2016! Is it possible? Can the world be on such a precipice?
The late noted Bible scholar, the Rev. Dr. Wm. Pascoe Goard, made a statement a few years before the beginning of World War 2; he wrote, “We are setting sail this year on the greatest adventure of all the ages”. That view might be more appropriate for this moment in time, as we are entering 2016. Perhaps many readers might recall my 2013 article, “Look Toward 2016” which at its beginning on the basis of studies by Bible scholar J.B. Dimbleby and Great Pyramid scholar David Davidson, where they concluded that the six days (6,000 years) of God’s Great Plan ended at the fall equinox of 2001. Of course that event was heralded by 911 and in my article, I applied the additional 15 years given to King Hezekiah, which means “strengthened of God” to 2001 and arrived at 2016 and suggested we would be looking at a year of many possibilities.
Rev. Goard inspired me to look further at a 2016 possibility. Remember, the 15th year began at the fall equinox of 2015 or the latter part of this past September. Since then, we have seen terrorist actions in western nations, natural disasters and a further denigration of our Almighty God, the latest example is a full page comment on the Metro Daily News, “God isn’t fixing this”, which article related to the California terrorist action. If he were with us today, Dr. Goard would point to 2016 and refer readers to the 17th and 18th chapters of Revelation. And he would point out that since that fateful day in 2001, fifteen years or one prophetic “hour” will have passed in 2016. Could the two chapters of Revelation cover the fifteen year period which is coming to an end at the fall equinox 2016. If so, it must be asked, will this year culminate in the collapse of the three arms of Mystery Babylon, that is, the Economic, Political and Ecclesiastical?
If, we are at that point, then Revelation 18:10 makes it crystal clear what will take place, “…. Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour is thy judgment come”. And in the last verses of the 18th chapter, and the opening verses of the 19th chapter, we find a strange commingling. Standing mid-way between the two, we hear the weeping and wailing of all that are engaged in the economic and commercial system and, on the other hand, the jubilant rejoicings and triumph of the holy prophets and apostles and all the multitude in Heaven, in that God has “judged the great whore ” and has removed her from the seat of power over the nations. At that point, happily, the triumph overcomes the wailing; and soon in the hearts of men on earth, as in the hearts of angels and men on high, the glory of the new overcomes the desolation produced by the destruction of the old.
Of course, this is what it looks like to me and obviously to many others who write frightening stories of an economic collapse. Many say it should have taken place in 2008 but as if by magic, the banking industry was saved through a bailout plan, at the taxpayer’s expense, naturally. Can it be saved again by similar means? But times are different now and I have asked Pastor Alan Campbell to give us his thoughts.
By the way, Pastor Campbell, a great soldier of the Israel Truth for more than three decades has endured health struggles for the past three years and lately has not been well at all. Please keep him in your prayers. In the meantime, rather than simply saying, “Happy New Year” I’ll just say, “May God’s Blessings and Protection be upon you and yours during 2016”.
From Pastor Alan Campbell, Correspondent
What shall I say, “May some sense of sanity prevail throughout the world in 2016”.
Yet, sadly, I think the world as we knew it has passed us by and 2016 will go down as the year when our precious Israel nations may have finally been conquered by those who seek one-worldism. The final weapon appears to be the invasion of strangers to our countries and the imposition of forced change to our Faith. As it is, only God knows how many Christians have actually been brutalized and slaughtered throughout the world to appease the Prince of the Air. Just look at some of the events of the past month and realize they are just the harbinger of things to come. The almost visible is the strategy against the Great Gog Russia, remember, Ezekiel 38:4 makes it clear that “hooks will be put into their jaws so they will be brought forth into battle”. And many articles on the Internet suggest that a war is needed by western nations to solve their economic problems. One might also speculate that Russia’s escapade into Syria & Crimea, or the destruction of their airliner, or the downing of the Russian Jet by Turkey are signs of distress. Thinking only of Turkey’s reliance on Russia, in that 50% of the gas comes from Russia, along with 60,000 Russian tourists a year, one could visualize the damage to Turkey’s economy if these were withdrawn. And what would that mean to NATO and the world? Is it enough of a hook? Remember World War I, a small thing triggered the war. The Turkey matter is not a small thing and space prevents me from expanding on other issues that could place Turkey in the opposite camp.
Then too, could the co-ordinated destruction of ISIS blossom into another hook? Or the Paris terrorist action, the California brutal attack by sympathizers of ISIS or others that may be perpetrated before the publication of this magazine.
But I want to end this by emphasizing something you must watch for, if the event of the unfolding year cannot be contained and you hear leaders from opposite sides of the potential conflict. Please refer to 1 Thessalonians 5:3, “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”
Our blessing is that we are not in darkness, we are the children of the light”. And bear closely in mind when, as Isaiah 26:21 tells us, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity” that He gave us our safe haven in verse 20, “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast”.
I note that Mr. Alden quoted Pascoe Goard, when Mr. Goard wrote, “We are setting sail this year on the greatest adventure of all the ages”. And so, let’s make sure we “Put on the whole armour of God”.
From the late Elsie Read, the Grand Old Dame of ACP
Take time to be holy – the world rushes on”
There is a profoundness in these words. Truly, the world rushes on: It is rushing blindly on to judgment and destruction — and, struggle as we may, we seem to be swept along with the current, helpless to resist. The enemy seeks to keep us so busy struggling with Babylon for our existence that we have not time to listen to God.
We ought however, to grasp firmly upon His Word: “They that wait upon the LORD (Jehovah) shall renew their strength.” “Keep silence before Me, O Islands, and let the people renew their strength.” (Psa. 40 and 41).
This, then, is my New Year’s Message to all the people of Israel: “Take Time” – time to keep silence before God and let His voice be heard. We will hear Him say, perhaps the words of Isaiah 41:
Fear thou not, for I am with thee.
Be not dismayed, for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee,
Yea, I will help thee;
Yea, I will uphold thee
With the right hand of my righteousness.
Behold, all they that were incensed against thee
Shall be ashamed and confounded:
They shall be as nothing:
And they that strive with thee shall perish.”
What hope and comfort in this time of trouble! May this New Year be a time of renewal for each one of us.
