Dust on the Bible
It is so remarkable that in a scant fifty years, the minds and hearts of Christians could be so turned away from the Christian faith, indeed, to the point where most even feel uncomfortable talking about our blessed Saviour Jesus Christ, instead grudgingly making mention of God if seemingly forced upon to do so. Jesus referred to this time as the Laodicean period when our works are neither cold nor hot and he shall spew us out of his mouth. It’s strange that so few can relate the relationship between our declining faith to our loss of freedoms, declining morality, higher and higher tax bites, economic slippage when jobs are transferred overseas, etc., etc. But, I suppose, like the proverbial frog placed in water that is brought to the boiling point, we don’t really recognize we’ve been in the water and are close to the boiling point but will continue to accept anything as long as it doesn’t affect our perceived comfort level, despite it having been peeled gradually away. If you think about it, someone or some group has had their way with the western nations, to the point that our great wealth is being swept away through immigration, wars and the very sale of our industries and resources to non-Israelite peoples. The Bible calls this particular moment in time the “Esau Dominion” but few in the western world today have even heard this expression, because the Bible sits on their bookshelves gathering dust. It’s true that much of the Bible is difficult to understand and accept without the key, that is knowledge of who composes True Israel, but until the day of the Esau Dominion we accepted the entire book as the Word of God, not a collection of stories, with some un-meaningful as expressed today.
The Media is doing its job as “the false prophet” by denigrating Christianity and Jesus Christ at every opportunity and it has become so frequent an occurrence that Israelites have accepted a newer watered-down version of the faith and churches have patterned their worship services accordingly. No wonder attendance at their worship services shows a continued deterioration.
The National Message addressed this issue many years ago and some of their content bears reviewing at this particular moment in time. They began, “During His earthly ministry our Lord foresaw the present state of affairs no less clearly than its causes; and the vision wrung from His lips that cry of almost unendurable agony, “When the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?”
Their article went on, “As He uttered this question, the incarnate Christ was making His final preparations for the last hours of His life. Knowing beforehand every pang of the ordeal through which He must pass, He was steeling His heart to endure torture of body, mind and spirit, which would strain all His powers of endurance, all His courage and all His faith, almost to breaking-point.
Full well He knew the price which He must pay for the salvation of all mankind; yet even as He braced Himself for that tremendous sacrifice, He told His disciples what the condition of the world would be when the time should draw near for His return as King.
The people of those days, He said, would be as grossly materialistic as that generation which brought upon itself the judgment of the Great Flood: the priceless gift which He had won for all mankind would be despised and rejected of men; and He added, “Many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
False prophets did indeed arise, even during the lifetime of the Apostles; and the avowed enemies of Christ have perverted God’s holy word from that day to this. But never before has the truth been so flagrantly assailed from the pulpits of our churches; never before have the worshippers of God been so grossly deceived within the very temples of Christianity itself.
Although courageous men, mostly from the older generation, still fearlessly uphold the Bible as the word of truth, their number is diminishing with deplorable rapidity; and already we are witnessing that last stage of infidelity which was foretold by the Holy Spirit through the lips of it. Peter said, “There shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them . . . And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”
Creation and the Fall, the Great Flood, and other historical events are discarded as fables, folklore, forgeries or myths; the writings of Moses and the prophets are held up to contempt; our Lord’s virgin birth, His miracles, His resurrection and ascension are explained away, or rejected altogether; His very words are disputed, distorted and denied and, last but not least, the promise of His return is cold-shouldered into obscurity.
In other words, ministers of the Gospel, who have pledged themselves with sacred vows and solemn oaths to teach and preach God’s holy word, openly and unashamedly deny the truth of the Bible in the name of Christ.” (end of quote)
We in the Israel Truth movement, for the most part, along with a few Christian denominations, are not encumbered with these modern heresies but the evil has gone deep. Let’s face it, The Almighty God, Jesus Christ, has spit most of all others out and it will take a great repentance to bring them back to the fold. Fortunately, He has a covenant with True Israel and ultimately His Plan must call for removing the blindness of His People and restoring the Dominion to them. As the Bible so clearly states, the dominion will be taken from Esau and the yoke around True Israel’s neck will be lifted. A little study will demonstrate these facts.
We are often asked what we can do to reach our brethren around the world and restore the true faith. Nothing, really! We can only sow the seeds of the Israel Truth and the wonderful Gospel of the Kingdom and leave the rest to God. One day soon, He will answer the final curtain call and usher in the Millennial Kingdom. Hopefully, our friends, family members and our brethren everywhere will recognize and embrace the truth before He makes His appearance and thus ensure their place in the Kingdom. The decision is theirs, of course, but if they want to spend the thousand years with Jesus Christ and go on to His second stage of His Plan, then they had better get into relationship with Him now. The six days man has been left to his own devices expired in 2001 and we are living in the last few months or years before His glorious return. Perhaps it’s time to “hit the books” so to speak, particularly the most fascinating book of all, “The Holy Scriptures.”
