The Mouth That Roared
The world today is troubled! And our people of true Israel are equally troubled. And lost!
Here we are in the early months of 2015 and as we can look back through the decades to 1909 AD when this Association was founded to call a restless generation’s attention to the End of an Age and the prophesied blessed return of the Lord Jesus Christ to establish His Kingdom. Our early leaders pointed to a time when tribulation for the People of God would finally come to an end and as we look at today’s landscape when the days darken and the chaos around us increases, as one past correspondent wrote, “we must never lose sight of the fact our Lord is and will be the victor”.
Yet, it is disconcerting that church pulpits are not flaming with indignation against the war on Christianity and with few exceptions, remain silent when a media mouth like Bill Maher rails against our faith, and sadly, to the cheers and applause of brethren in attendance. You have to wonder why we have fallen so far so quickly. I can just imagine Tocqueville, the great French historian, turning over in his grave if he could realize what he had written about Jacob’s “Great Nation” has come to pass, “If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great”. So true, as it is with Ephraim Britain and other Israel nations.
There must have been a turning point! In the past I have suggested that the great falling away prophesied by the Apostle Paul, Revelation 3’s “The Laodicea” period and the Esau Dominion all had their beginning at the end of 6 days (or six thousand years of lunar time) or 1820. Still, I also like our former Secretary-General Joe Sproule’s analysis, when he wrote, “’Time Marches on’ but with the mass production automotive era in 1909 AD, time ceased to march, because in deed and fact, it began to “race” as “the chariots began jostling one another in the broadway”. (Nahum 2:4) God imparted to the prophet Daniel that in these end times knowledge would be increased and this is taken as both knowledge of good and knowledge of evil. (Daniel 12:4) Well, only a blind man could miss the signs of today and those of the “end of wonders” (Daniel 12:6-11) or Jesus’ wise words of Mathew 24. But it seems most Israelites, no matter how concerned or afraid of what is taking place in the world, with war on the horizon, Christians being executed around the world, and staggering personal problems, are more content to shut their eyes and simply believe it will get better. Jeremiah 5:31 said it correctly and I paraphrase, “The theologians soothe us with false doctrine, a lying message; our leaders lead us down the garden path, but the strangest thing of all, is that we love to believe them, obviously because of our fear of current chaotic conditions.”
And yet, despite all the uncertainty around us, most of our brethren are moving away from Jesus, rather than embracing Him for the protection He offers. It’s strange but He did say that current conditions are like the days of Noah. (Matthew 24:37-39) But it is frightening to think of these, our brethren, facing the conditions outlined in a companion book of the Bible, specifically Jasher 6 when they pleaded for entrance to the Ark, in today’s case, “The Kingdom”. In verse 19, Noah, in a loud voice said to them, “Have you not all rebelled against the Lord, and said that he does not exist?…” Then, in verse 23, “…the Lord will not listen to you, neither will he give ear to you on this day …”
Will we see a reversal of the moving away from Christ? Many Christians expect a revival and it would be so heartening to see one. Yet, can one really be expected? After all, Jesus Himself made the statement, “…. Nevertheless, when the Son on man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)
So, I expect there will be more and more pressure exerted on Christian belief before His blessed return but there will be those who will not bend their knee to the satanic forces doing their best to corrupt. I suspect that included in the believing group will be scores of those who know their identity and are buoyed by their greater understanding of God’s Great Plan. And one thing we know that bears repeating is that “the Lord will be the victor.” Jude makes this perfectly clear in verses 14 and 15, “… Behold the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all…” Or Malachi 4:1, “For behold, the day cometh… And all that do wickedly… And the day that cometh shall burn them up…” Or many other places in the Bible!
If you are around on that day, Bill Maher, we shall witness your transformation from a “mouth” to a “begging little mouse”.
