The USA Titanic
Recently I watched the television coverage of the presidential election in the United States from the side lines. As with other Canadians, I could only watch and wait to see what Americans would decide. I could not vote, but could only pray for God’s will to be done. I do not think that I should be able to vote, but there were many people that voted who had fewer connections with America than I have.
My grandmother, Maude Purdy, was an American from the state of Maine. Also, my great grandmother, Jane Harris, was an American from the state of Wisconsin. She was very proud of her American heritage and claimed that she was descended from Mary Chilton, the first woman to step off the Mayflower. Despite my American connections, I could not vote in the presidential election, but there were people who were born and raised in Iraq or Indonesia or some other place who follow a religion that the founding fathers of America did not recognize who voted in the election.
Last September there was a series of broadcasts by Dr. James Dobson on his Family Talk radio show, in which he and guest speakers talked about the future of America. Their conclusion was that America is like the Titanic heading for the iceberg of economic and moral disaster. The annual debt is now equal to the gross domestic product of the nation and increasing at an accelerating rate. If the ship U.S.A. hits the iceberg it will take Canada down with it. Most of the business and investment in Canada is controlled by Americans.
As Israel Truth believers, we can understand what is happening to the United States and other Israel nations. Satan is attacking our people on all fronts, using the destruction of the family, destruction of our health, corrupted bibles, the doctrines of humanism and evolution, and economic bondage, to name a few methods. He knows that if he destroys our people, the rest of the Christian world will offer him little resistance. Modern Christian leaders do not offer much hope, and compare the U.S.A. to heathen empires of the past, like Rome or Assyria.
In my opinion, we can learn from recent history what is to be the future of America. The British Empire declined with the Second World War. It should have ended with destruction, like the Roman Empire, the Persian Empire or the Assyrian Empire. Instead, it survived the war and was victorious, but lost most of its power and was replaced by the American Empire, which is an economic empire. God was merciful to Britain because they are Israelites. I believe the same thing will happen to America. Their empire will decline with the Third World War, but they will be victorious, their power will be gone, and their empire will be replaced by the Empire of Jesus Christ. God will be merciful to them because they are Israelites, though not all of them. We must remember that American Israelites had Godly ancestors who prayed for them in past centuries. Those prayers count for a lot with God. He will not forsake America.
The American Empire began after the Second World War. At the end of President Obama’s second term the American Empire will be about seventy years old. How long will it last? Could the prayer of Moses in the Bible apply? “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.” Psalm 90:10, 11. We believe the wrath of God will be revealed with the return of Jesus Christ. “The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.” Psalm 110: 5, 6.
The Empire that will follow will be more wonderful than anything we have seen, and the righteous shall rejoice. “For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:12. Great things are promised for our people in the coming Kingdom age.
