Cause and Effect
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth; and all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” (Deut. 26:1,2)
Cause and effect is a phenomenon that rules every aspect of our lives, both in the regular as well as in our spiritual lives. As you look at the verses quoted above you will see that to hearken and obey the Lord our God is in essence the cause, where as the blessings of the Lord is the effect. If in our regular life we cut our finger, it will bleed or the “cause,” the cut or the bleeding is the “effect.” Thus, in essence cause and effect are the same action or inaction and consequences, in other words, we reap what we sow and we get what we pay for.
Throughout the history of the Israelite people, both combined as one nation and later as the two distinct Houses of Israel and Judah, we can see the cause and effect phenomenon. Whenever they pleased the Lord and served Him, blessings flowed abundantly, cause and effect! But at the same token, whenever they disobeyed God, and turned toward idolatry, the Lord’s wrath fell upon them and calamity and curses followed, cause and effect! Throughout the Bible the people of Israel are referred to as sheep, not because they are such cuddly little animals, but because they are dumber than sticks. Then, as it is now, they would and will follow any so-called leader and follow him headlong over the cliff to destruction and damnation without any thought to self preservation and salvation by returning to the Lord their God. When during the Protestant Reformation, after being kept in the dark and in ignorance for more than a thousand years, the people were again able to establish a direct and personal relationship with the God of their fathers, with the result that the Protestant nations were blessed of God in abundance of spiritual and national affluence, whereas those who remained under the yoke of Papal Rome by and large lagged behind in both spheres, even unto this present time. God is not mocked! If we walk with Him and talk with Him, God is well pleased and will do everything according to His promise to be a loving and benevolent Father to His children without fail. Cause and effect, it never fails.
Throughout the Bible the people of Israel are referred to as sheep, not because they are such cuddly little animals, but because they are dumber than sticks.
When in the late eighteen hundreds the Edomite-Marxist religion of Humanism started to take hold, the people started to lose their way big time. Under its philosophy man is able to control his own destiny in all phases of life, there is no need for a divine being, man in essence is his own god, a man-god. This so called religion has made inroads in all walks of life, even to the point of infiltrating some of the denominational churches and seminaries and thus weakening the spiritual well being of countless believers.
If we look at most of today’s churches we see that on the whole they are all suffering from declining attendance. This is due in large part to the fact that people are being deprived of spiritual fulfillment and guidance due to the fact that no such guidance is forthcoming from the pulpits. The gospel that is being preached is saturated with sweet nectar and honey and portrays love only. These churches preach that the law is done away with, and thus they never teach the fact that our God is a just God, who is bound by His own decrees and statutes which form the basis of His Divine Law by which the lives of all believers are ruled. No Biblical absolutes are being taught and thus these poor creatures are wallowing in ignorance and are totally unaware of the fact that they are being duped. “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.” (Amos 8:11).
“…Ye might well bear with him.” 2 Corin. 11:4
Yes my dear friend that is the stage we have reached in the religious realm in most, if not all, of our Israel nations. But ignorance of the law does not stand up in any Civil Court of Law, and neither will it be a valid excuse when we will be standing before the Great White Throne. Paul tells us in Romans 7 that through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. Paul also tells us in Romans 3 that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It is by the grace of God and through the blood of our Lord Jesus the Christ that we are saved, but that does not mean that we are free to do as we please. We have a responsibility to walk in the way of the Lord, no matter what these preachers tell us. If we come to understand the Law, we will have a closer walk with God. Cause and effect.
Then we have Mega-Churches of the Tele-Evangelist, that claim membership into the thousands, but who preach a gospel that most of the time is so far out in left field, it makes you want to cry. These Zionist controlled preachers are able to persuade their followers to donate a good part of their wealth to the Antichrist state in the Middle-East. “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an Antichrist.” (2Jn. 7). “Shouldest thou help the wicked, and love them that hate the Lord? Therefore, there is wrath upon thee from before the Lord.” (2Chron. 19:2). And in Ps. 139 David says it even more clearly. “For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do I not hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? And am I not grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with a perfect hatred, I count them mine enemies.” (Ps. 139:20-22). So you can see people are being deceived in believing things that are contrary to Bible teachings and not at all beneficial to their spiritual life. “The prophets prophesy falsehoods and the priests clapped with their hands, and my people loved to have it so. Now what will you do in regard to the consequences?” (Jer. 5:31 Sept).
O dear believer, wake up to your folly, return unto the Word of the Lord your God. Study the Scriptures for yourselves and get a sound understanding of what is expected of us in regard to our relationship and walk with God. Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” (John 14:15, 21).
Yes dear friends “cause and effect” is with us every step of the way, how we let it influence our daily life is up to every individual to decide for him or her selves. Salvation is freely given, but is not free. Whatever we do and whatever actions we take in life will often determine if we will be considered worthy, for we cannot flaunt the statutes of our God and continue to expect blessings. So pray for the Lord’s guidance and understanding and “Fear not, little flock; for it is your father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” (Lk. 12:32).
