Approaching Events

I have always been intrigued by the story of Hezekiah’s sickness wherein his prayers and exemplary devotion to God added fifteen years to his life. Let’s review verses 5 & 6 of 2 Kings 20.

“…. Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.” (Verse 5)

“And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria ….” (Verse 6)

These verses remind me of Hosea 6:1-2.

“Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.” (Verse 1)

“After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.” (Verse 2)

Now, the Lord is not going to simply come to our aid without repentance. He states this in Hosea 5: 15, “I will go and return to my place till they acknowledge their offence …. “ 2 Chronicles 7:14 basically says the same thing. So, question 1 is, “What would possess us to collectively go to our knees in repentance?”

Turning back to Hezekiah, could the fifteen years added to his life be a forerunner of fifteen years added to “Six days shalt thy labour, One day shalt thou not do any work” or taking 2Peter 3:8 into account, 6,000 years shall we labour and 1,000 years we will rest, so to speak.” So, question 2 is “when did the 6,000 years end and the fifteen years begin?”

Hezekiah’s Prayer “I beseech thee,

O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart …”

Bishop Ussher’s calculation of the end of six days comes to the year 1997, Bible scholar Howard Rand arrived at 2005 and Bible scholar Dimbleby, along with Great Pyramid scholar David Davidson, pinpoints 2001. Accordingly, if we believe Hezekiah’s 15 years to be a dual fulfillment, then 2012, 2016 or 2,020 are years to consider.

Interestingly enough, Evangelist Ed Vallowe demonstrated how 15 is the number for rest. E.W. Bullinger suggests 15 refers to acts wrought by the energy of Divine grace. A review of Biblical passages show the two scholarly pronouncements are very similar.

We all agree that we are in the third day (or the third 1,000 year period) from the First Advent of Jesus Christ, so this would mean that 2012 is a possible prophetic year on God’s calendar. And it could easily be surmised that the “third day of Hezekiah going up to the House of the Lord” and Hosea’s “After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight” correlate to being in the Kingdom.

Of course, the chorus coming from most of Christendom would immediately say that 2012 is out of the question because we are now there and events couldn’t evolve so quickly. This makes sense and so maybe the two days or 2,000 years when Christ heals us begins with the Resurrection, as so many believe. On the other hand, God does work in mysterious ways and if His Plan says 2012 or one of the two other dates, i.e. 2016 or 2020, then it will happen. But, this is certain! The only way the apostolic Israelite nations would go to their collective knees is if there was some great calamity that would affect each and every one of us in a devastating way and the only way we could turn is to God.

Well, there are two potential events on the horizon that could hurl our nations into such danger that only God could extradite us. Remember, the perils of Ezekiel 38, and the devastation Joel wrote about are still to be fulfilled in these last days and all they need is a triggering effect. About three years ago, I wrote an article on how Iran could be that trigger, because of their allies Russia and China having too huge a financial stake to sit by idly and let their economic interests and oil requirements fall by the wayside. Today, with the modern Israeli State readying itself to attack Iran, and with America also preparing itself for possible intervention alongside the Jewish State, the landscape looks frightening.

Yet, it seems to me that there must be a calamitous event to precede such a war that would bring the entire world into the conflict and as Ezekiel wrote, “Gog (Russia) would get an evil thought and go up to the land of unwalled villages to take a spoil.” In my article “Is Economic Babylon on the Brink” published in the same month as 911, I talked about how debt and the derivative risk (the most dangerous of all financial instruments, which was then 10-15 times the size of the world’s economic output) was going to affect every individual in a very severe way. The risk has only grown since then and now is on every politician’s lips. Europe could well be the catalyst to a final breakdown and I like what Michael Clark, President of BIWF, UK had to say in his Christmas letter to members: “This was the year of the Arab Spring in North Africa and the Middle East which was not foreseen by the political elite. Nor indeed was the debt crisis in the eurozone, both events, which, at the time of writing, are developing into major international crises. At home the national economy and the protest action against the City of London outside St Paul’s Cathedral joined that of the “Occupy Wall Street” protest in New York and in many other U.S. cities. The moneychangers’ tables are being overturned and we must consider that the Lord’s final judgment on international finance is very near. The unprecedented warning to Britain’s banks by the Governor of the Bank of England on 1 December, confirmed that an economic Armageddon in the eurozone and the fall of ‘Babylon’ (Revelation 18) is approaching. Germany is calling for fiscal union in the EU to save the situation, but the markets will undoubtedly decide the fate of the euro.”

Mr. Clark also wrote, “At the centre of this hurricane storm is the Israeli State, which is in a huge dilemma as trouble erupts on all sides and on every border at the same time. It has become isolated with no friends on its borders. The United States alone remains a powerful ally to the Jewish State, yet even the support of the great superpower is beginning to fade.”

Now, closely consider Mr. Clark’s following statement, “The nations are with ‘perplexity’ (Gk. aporia ‘without a passage out,’ Luke 21:25); the situation is developing rapidly as I write and 2012 may witness events which could propel our witness into far greater prominence.”

“…the tide is turning and instead of rushing into Babylon,…”

Now there is one more thing to consider. Almost as if Britain is waking up to their identity and the Bible passage, “Come out of her my people,” they exercised their independence from the EU. Again, I quote Mr. Clark.

“Dear Brooks, Dec 8-9 2011 marked a highly significant turning point in Britain’s relationship with the European Union. For the first time in 40 years Britain has used her veto to prevent an EU treaty from going into force.

The treaty that will now be concentrated on the inner 17 countries of the eurozone does not solve the huge debt crisis of the euro and it will be the markets that decide the fate of the currency in the coming weeks, even before Christmas. We should take note of the fact that Dec 23 2011 will be 2 x 7 x 7 years from the U.S. Federal Reserve Act of Dec 23 1913. This is also expressed as 28 x 1260 solar days, 1260 often being linked to financial matters. 

The main headline on The Times, London, for Dec 10 2011 is ‘Britain stands alone’. Interestingly it is the 75th anniversary of the Abdication of Edward VIII (on Dec 10 1936) which is the number between the prophetic numbers of 1260 and 1335. The number 1260 associated again here to financial matters and in this case it is the eurozone which is in deep crisis and the link to 1335 expresses finality for that false financial system, but blessing for Britain now that we, like Jonah of old, are being regurgitated from the mouth of the whale.

The date Dec 8-11, 2011 was always going to be marked for prophetic Jerusalem in London. The terminal date is 2 x 47 years, or 120 x 286.1 days, significant of warning of displacement, from the deliverance by British Forces of historic Jerusalem in 1917. The evidence now set before us confirms that Britain is about to be placed back on the shore of its global responsibility. This is our destiny, together with all the covenant nations, to lead the nations of the world in peace — which was Winston Churchill’s great vision.”

So, my many friends, ask yourself this question, “Is the stage now set for the unveiling of God’s intervention?” Whether or not the financial community can find a solution to the present debt crises, it will only be a Band-Aid, the peak has been reached and the inevitable fall is certain.

One final remark that was sent to me is interesting. It relates to the reaction to Britain saying, “No, no more!” One unnamed French diplomat said Mr Cameron [Britain’s Prime Minister] had behaved “like a man at a wife-swapping party who refuses to bring his own wife.” Mr Cameron said “I have no plans to attend any wife-swapping parties.” Well said – for we know that Britain is betrothed to be remarried to Jehovah again as His national bride in the not too distant future! Interestingly, one letter from Kelvedon, Essex in The Telegraph Dec 10 2011, on this remark said; “Surely we would rather not associate too closely with disgusting people like these.” Perhaps the tide is turning and instead of rushing into Babylon, we will begin to exercise caution.
