The Red, White and the Blue
Editor’s Comments: Sometimes a journey to Christ takes a strange path. It’s like the Lord is adding one challenge after another to make one fit for a future mission. In Jim Cross’ case, as a young man he got involved with a paramilitary group called the Ulster Volunteer Force because he thought he was patriotically serving his country and community against the I.R.A. He ended up in prison and stayed there for many years for this and other reasons but it was there he learned the Israel Truth and for the past 20 years has been under the teaching and guidance of Pastor Alan Campbell’s Open Bible Ministries. Sometime ago he got the urge to write on “The Red, White and Blue” and we think you will enjoy this slightly abridged article. I suppose like many old-timers here in North America, whenever we think of The Red, White and Blue, a picture comes to mind of James Cagney singing and dancing to George M. Cohon’s “Grand Old Flag.” Of course, the Red, White and Blue means much more and some of the great scholars in this movement wrote much on the strength True Israel derives from the Union Jack and the American flag. Sadly, in Canada, we left the protection of the Union Jack when, in 1965, we adopted a flag that excluded the “Jack” and the colour blue.
During the migrations of the Tribes of Israel through the wilderness years, Moses was given all the information for the building of the Tabernacle including the colours of the curtains. This was to become the meeting place between the Lord God Jehovah and the people of Israel. The colour of the curtains may appear to be unimportant. But everything mentioned in the Word of God is for a purpose, therefore important.
We are told that the curtains were of blue, purple, scarlet and fine linen; linen being white in colour. Exodus 25:4.
The crosses are red, white with a blue background! The colours mentioned are one of the most important aspects in the life of our Nation and yet are quickly becoming ridiculed by those who call themselves leaders within these isles.
Let me start with the colour red, or scarlet, as given in the book of Exodus.
We are taught from an early age to associate the colour red with danger. But, have you ever considered the colour red to be associated with life? Within each of us flows the most important red substance; blood. Red blood cells carry the oxygen that enables us to live and breathe. Again the colour of our blood could be labelled scarlet rather than red. Blood only turns red when it comes in contact with the air.
The colour white can also be found within the bloodstream, the white cells are our defence against disease.
Now the colour blue; have you ever looked at the veins that carry the blood through our bodies?
Yes they are blue! The same shade of blue found as backdrop of our glorious flag, the Union Jack. Our National flag points to God’s Word, as does the life giving flow of our bloodstream. Just recently I was informed of the molecule, Laminin, which runs throughout the body holding everything together. On further study on the internet it was shown stretched out under the microscope; to my amazement it is in the form of a cross!
There are three crosses to be found on the flag; the Crosses of St. George, St. Andrew and St. Patrick and those crosses are red, white with a blue background!
Colossians 1:17 “And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Another rendering of this verse reads: “By Him all things are held together.”
Then, reading from Psalm 139: 13-18 “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.”

In the Hebrew the word is kelayoth, and in the Greek it is nephros. Both words referring to your loins or kidneys; it is the kidneys that flush out all the impurities in our blood stream, when this malfunctions we become ill. For a long time I have suffered from pain in my kidneys, especially when I feel troubled about something or another. When this happens, I realize that the Lord is showing me that there is an issue in my life that needs resolving. Psalm 73:21-23 is all the proof I need, “Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.”
Isaiah wrote in Chapter 49:14-16, “But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”
Another wonderful prophecy fulfilled at Calvary.
The Red, White and Blue, God’s colours! The Union Jack! The great symbol of our nation! Edmund Burke warned that a people who ignore their past, will have no future. And this is happening to us; as the One Worlders continue to promote the doctrine of Balaam where very little of our true national identity and national symbols mean anything. Some are even suggesting that the Union Jack be replaced and you can bet if it happens, some component of the “Red, White and Blue” will be missing and our protection weakened. I hope Israelites everywhere will stand to be counted if this attack continues and realize that just as the body could not exist without the benefit the three colours give us, our nation will be dramatically weakened if we lose the protection the three colours collectively offer us.
Let’s praise the Red, The White and the Blue, the wonder of God that flows through our bodies and our nation.
