Chaos Reigns Today
I have heard the phrase “we are in a time of chaos” a number of times recently and I think that I have to agree. One definition I found for chaos is, “a state of utter confusion or disorder: a total lack of organization or order. Synonyms: tumult, turmoil, jumble, disarray”, which I think fits exactly for what is happening in our world today. It is a world far removed from the Godly nations we were living in, it seems like only a few years ago. We are living in a time where nothing appears to make sense. When you try and follow the logic of something that is going on or something that has changed in our society today, you find nothing but disorder and confusion, because so often it does not make sense or does not follow through on what was promised or said. This is because without God’s instructions through His laws and the values we have lived with when we were Christian nations everything is collapsing. It is all starting to backfire on us as we witness our society breaking down with more violent crime, fraud, hit and run drivers leaving the scene, insurance rates skyrocketing because of the multiple disasters, etc. In some places insurance companies are refusing to give insurance to areas that are in fire zones or could face natural disaster. Most people are feeling the effects of high food prices too and many cannot feed their families. In Canada we have seen our population grow by over a million in one year, mostly through immigration with no plans for housing or infrastructure in place. Where was the planning there? What effect is that having on our lives? More chaos!
I have recently heard too that the new electric automobiles weigh 2 to 3 times more than the gas automobiles, due to the weight of the batteries. How will that affect the long-term condition of our roads, overpasses, bridges, etc. Sometimes you just wonder how these things are happening. Is anyone thinking of the consequences of the decisions they are making. or is it all just about the almighty dollar and how much they can make? I think that our enemies, all those who are currently in power, had better start thinking of what the repercussions are for their actions. God is very aware of what is going on with His people and what these evil ones have planned, but He has His own plan and unfortunately for them, it does not include keeping them in power and if they don’t repent they will not survive. In Jer. 23:23-24 He says, “Am I a God at hand, saith the, and not a God afar off?any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the.” They cannot hide! God will deal with them.
In our fallen world they may still be able to fool many who are asleep and think that everything is okay, but this cannot last much longer as those who rule our nations are preparing for war. When this happens, their lives will not be the same and hopefully then they will realize how foolish they have been to trust these evil ones who only think of themselves. These verses came to me as I was ending this article so I feel I must include them here. Jesus speaks to those who rebel against Him and cause harm; “But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee”.that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matt. 11:24-30).
It is such a blessing to know the Lord, as He is our rest in this world of turmoil. Chaos is reigning in our lands now, but its time is short.
