Positive And Negative
We live in a world of opposites. There are two kings and two kingdoms, ruling in two cities over two groups of people. These kingdoms are against each other. God controls the conflict and the final result, even though few people realize it.
There is a righteous King who does not rule yet, except in the hearts of Christians. He is Jesus the Christ. His city is the New Jerusalem, and his people are the Israelites and Christians throughout the world. The evil king is Satan. His city is Babylon, and his people are the Edomites and whoever would reject Jesus Christ throughout the world. Isaiah chapter 14 is about the fall of Satan and Babylon at the end of the age (which is coming soon). “That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.” (vs. 4 and 5).
To the king of Babylon he says, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!” (vs. 12). The golden city Babylon is represented in scripture as a woman that sits on many waters. (Revelation 17:1). The many waters represent the world, meaning Babylon rules throughout the world. “And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.” Revelation 18:21. I believe that destruction is coming soon. Babylon is not just one city such as New York, Berlin, or Beijing. It is throughout the world with the international corporate and banking system, the manipulation of politics to dispose of God’s commandments, and false religion, including the religion of evolution. Satan has always opposed God’s truth and commandments, right from the time of the garden of Eden.
The city of God is the New Jerusalem. It is portrayed as a woman in scripture. “But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” Galatians 4:26. The fullness of it will come to earth one day and Jesus Christ, the King and High Priest after the order of Melchisedec will be the ruler of it. Until that day, citizens of New Jerusalem here on Earth suffer under the rulership of Babylon. Jerusalem was represented by Mount Zion in scripture. I believe it was moved out of the Middle East as prophesied by Jesus. “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23. The mountain (Mount Zion/Jerusalem) was moved out of the Middle East to the Gentile world (represented by the sea) where the lost tribes of Israel were located. Jerusalem is not one city, such as Washington or London. It is now throughout the lost tribes of Israel in the U.S.A., the British Commonwealth, and Northwestern Europe. Unfortunately, Jerusalem is not ruling Israel right now. Babylon is ruling. The citizens of the New Jerusalem that will rule Israel when Jesus Christ returns are mentioned in the book of Revelation. “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6. They are the Christians within Israel, and other Christians joined to them. Pray for all Christians throughout the world in this time of Jacob’s trouble. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” Psalm 122:6.
The citizens of the New Jerusalem are Israelites, but not all are Israelites, only the Christian Israelites in True Israel, and others like them who follow Jesus. They will be the rulers of the world one day. The citizens of Babylon are the Edomites, but not all Edomites, only the ones who follow Satan, and others like them who follow Satan. They are the rulers of the world today. Their wealth, power, and influence are great. They want to build a new world order without Jesus Christ. Their plans will fail. They do not know the mind or power of God. They do not know what is coming. They are the tares in Jesus’ parable of the tares, and will be removed from the world by the angels at the end of the age. We are told to leave it to the angels in case we mis-identify them. They are the hidden government, and only God knows who they are. Leave it to God. He knows what He is doing.
In the Old Testament, Jerusalem was in the Kingdom of Judah in the Holy Land. Today Judah is north of the Holy Land. “In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.” Jeremiah 3:18. Israel and Judah are north of the Holy Land in the lands of the Anglo-Saxon and kindred people. Most of the U.S.A. is north of the Holy Land, as is Canada, the British Isles, and Northwestern Europe. This does not exclude the Israel territories south of the Holy Land such as South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. The lost tribes of Israel are all over the world.
We look forward to the day when the golden city of Babylon is replaced by the city of light, the New Jerusalem, and the righteous King Jesus replaces the heartless king Satan as the ruler of the world.
