May God Bless Our Way
When you review Ezekiel 7, verses one and two makes it abundantly clear that it is God who is referred to, and it is the lands of Israel, that is, those mentioned in the introduction, to whom He is addressing.
Then in verses 2, 3 & 6 He couldn’t make it clearer when He declares that the end is come. As if to emphasize this declaration, in verse 7, He declares “the time is come”, “the morning is come” and “the day of trouble is near”.
Again, in verse 10, we are told “the day is come” but here we also learn that “the morning is gone forth”
Verse 12 hammers home that “The time is come” and warns that the “day draweth near”.
On first blush, it appears that God is casting judgment on His Israel people, including all Christians, plus the entire world. And why? Verse 3 provides the reason, “Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.” And Verse 4, gives us this frightening scenario, “And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity”. And as if re-emphasize that the end has come, in verse 6, he does so through repetition, “An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.
In the late 1990’s we had a guest speaker, who was also a very renowned scholar, and using these verses, he said this is a dire prophecy for all of us. But, our Bible study group, which in itself includes several Bible scholars, came to a different conclusion, although there is little doubt the end will come upon many of our brethren who are complicit. We believe God’s Judgment will be directed against the Elite of the world which includes the many globalists that are mostly centered in Government, the Financial industry, Big Pharma, Hi-Tech companies, the Entertainment fields, Large corporations, Woke (ism), Teachers’ unions, large Churchdom and others.
Now there will be those who say these words were meant for a long-ago blinded, naive and disobedient Israel but in reading through Jeremiah 5:19-31, one can easily see that God intended His message to be dual, both for the conditions then and the sorry state of our Israel nations today. You might wonder how we got ourselves into such a mess, but God explained it very well when He said, “Because you have abandoned Him [God] and served foreign gods in your own country, then you serve tyrants in a country no longer yours.” Well, look around and you will see the truth in this prophecy. True freedom has been lost to us as the Elite (or Deep State if you wish) is expropriating more and more of the wealth of our once prosperous people. Just look at today’s environment, where inflation, interest rates and greed are pushing brethren into abominable conditions, while the Devil directed elite continue to enjoy the high life.
Just a few verses to get you thinking. Let’s begin with verse 11, “Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their’s: neither shall there be wailing for them”. They will be getting their just reward.
I like verse 19, “They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord”. So, all that wealth they have confiscated over the years won’t save them”.
Or verse 23, “Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence, Satan’s troops won’t help as verse 25 states, “Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.” In other words, they won’t be able to buy their way out of their destruction.
There is much more in this chapter and I hope when you complete your study, you will share with us your findings. In the meantime, even though we look upon the next number of months as exceptionally challenging, our Loving Lord will see us through. As the title to this article says, May God Bless Our Way.
