In the Beginning God…
Beyond the earliest days of America, or America’s mother land … beyond Rome, Babylon, Chaldea … beyond the oldest nations of man; beyond man and his proud advent into a world prepared for him . . . before the sun, moon and stars made light and measured time for the earth’s new master, far yonder beyond the comprehension of the human mind … “In the beginning GOD.”
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” “The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.” “In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
He was the Author of life; the life of the tinest insect and of the mightiest mastodon. Man at the height of his scientific achievement has never created life, even in its lowest forms. Man discovers life, and, in some instances, develops and improves it, but beyond any form of life discovered, science admits the evidence of “a creative force,” and “intelligent first cause.”
A fire-mist and a planet, a crystal and a cell,
A jelly-fish and a saurian, and caves where the cavemen dwell;
Then a sense of law and beauty, and a face turned from the clod
Some call it evolution, and others call it God.
It is considered quite the proper thing, in the present state of world-wide confusion and distress to advise all men, from the statesman to the humblest citizen, as to the world’s greatest need.
Whether the problem be a personal one or that great problem which is today making ‘the hearts of men fail them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming upon the earth,’ a satisfactory solution would undoubtedly be found if men would consult freely with Him who was ‘in the beginning,’ and whose plans and purposes have been clearly set forth as a guide for man in all the affairs of life. “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done.’
One of the greatest needs in these ‘perilous times’ is for all men to realize that nations had their origin, not in the fertile brains of statesmen and politicians but rather in that Creative Intelligence which was ‘In the beginning.’
The prophet Daniel made this fact very plain to the great Belshazzar of Babylon: “He removeth kings and setteth up kings … the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.”
To know the things revealed by the prophets concerning the kings and kingdoms from Belshazzar to Mussolini, Stalin and Hitler would be to know the answer to the question in the minds of millions as to the outcome of the present world-wide confusion. “There is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets. and maketh known . . . what shall be in the latter days.”
History confirms the accuracy of Daniel’s prophecy concerning four of the greatest world powers of past centuries but how strangely silent are these same historians as to the fifth and final kingdom of all time.
Babylon, Persia, Grecia and Rome arose, flourished and fell just as the prophet foretold. Why should we hesitate to believe the message of the same messenger concerning the greatest and mightiest kingdom of all . . . the kingdom that was destined to fill the entire world?
Let us hear the message and seek to know more of the kingdoms that have been, are now and that shall be destroyed and of that FINAL kingdom that shall be forever: “In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to OTHER PEOPLE, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. . . . The great God hath made known … what shall come to pass hereafter.”
