Comfort Ye My People
The world is going sour fast, and the oppression of God’s people is becoming more intense, especially across Europe, Great Britain and Canada. The invented pandemic was simply a tool used to push a political agenda and now, more than ever, we can say with confidence that it never had a thing to do with public health, but was purely political from the very beginning.
We are sure you have also noticed that our people are now the most hated people in the world. Never before in the history of the world has a people been so hated by the people whom they have elevated. But more than that, we are even hated by our own people. We may be the only people in the history of the world who were brainwashed into hating our own selves. It is insane.
As the song says, Troublesome times are here, filling men’s hearts with fear. Freedom we all hold dear now is at stake.
But in all of our trouble, I want to bring you some words of encouragement. Dear reader, we believe the return of our Lord Jesus Christ is closer than many think. In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus described the time of His return. He said there would be much deception — fake news — going on, and that people would betray one another and hate one another. He said that race would rise up against race, and government would rise up against government. He said there would be pestilences and earthquakes all over, and that the love of many would wax cold. We believe that all of this is an accurate description of our present day.
But there is more. In Luke chapter 17, Jesus gave us more indications of what the world will be like at the time of His return. He said that it would be as it was in the days of Noah and as it was in the days of Lot.
The time of Noah was a time of great wickedness and unbelief. Think of it. Noah preached 120 years and in the end the only ones who listened to him and got on the Ark were his own family, and they probably only got on because Noah was the head of their family! Many preachers today feel this same frustration. It was also a time of unprecedented miscegenation, as indicated by the fact that one of the reasons God used Noah was because Noah was pure in his “generations” or genealogy. Mankind also had become extremely wicked. So much so that God was sorry he had made man.
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6:5-8
The time of Lot was known for its debauchery and perversions. Genesis chapter 19 tells us of the great perversion of that day and that the sin of sodomy was rampant. All of these are also an accurate description of our present day.
Are we now in a time of tribulation? I should say so! “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved . . .” But take courage in the words which follow, “. . .but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” Matthew 24:22
Indeed, the world is in turmoil and upheaval, and many have suffered persecution and great distress. But we believe that on the other end of all this trouble is the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ, when He will take the Throne of His father David and will set up His glorious Kingdom here on earth!
That Throne is currently occupied by Her Royal Highness, Elizabeth II, who is now the longest reigning sovereign in history. We believe this speaks of the great longsuffering of our Lord, and is yet another indication that Christ will be returning soon. Charles is not fit to succeed and to ascend to that Throne, and has already indicated that he intends to include the Muslim religion in his coronation ceremony, which we believe God will not allow.
Another indicator of Christ’s soon returns, we believe, is the word trump. The word appears only twice in the Authorized Version of the Bible, and both are describing the time of Christ’s return (1 Corinthians 15:52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16). Whether you like him or not, the most prominent name in American politics today is indisputably TRUMP. God gave him the victory against all odds in 2016, and although he has been made to step aside, he has said he will be back. We believe that at some point God will make that happen, and that it will be “the last TRUMP.” As I write this, he has been touring the country, and is welcomed by many thousands of people everywhere he goes. Trump is certainly not the answer but is, we believe, an indicator of the time.
While there have been other times throughout history when various indicators of Christ’s return were present, we believe that our day is the only time in history when all of the above indications have been present at the same time, particularly the last two.
We do not know how soon, but we believe it will not be much longer, dear flock. So, in all this trouble, we encourage you to “Look up, for your redemption draweth nigh!”
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
And I love the way this passage ends, “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
