Glimpses of the Kingdom
In this time of stress and conflict it is good to look up to what is beyond the rule of man to the rule of God that is coming. Most of the prophets in the Old Testament included an explanation of the kingdom age in their prophecies. Jesus spoke more about the kingdom of God than anyone else. He said, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not …. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Luke 12:32-34. Our hearts should be with the kingdom of God. We cannot imagine what treasures await us in that kingdom.
The prophet Isaiah spoke of the kingdom bride of Christ as being the widow Israel. “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.” Isaiah 54:4-7. The kingdom age is all about both Israel and Jesus Christ. Israel will be glorified as the bride of Christ. No other nation can claim to be the wife of youth to God and then to have been made a widow when her husband died on the cross. In fact, the wicked harlot Babylon states that she is not a widow, so she disqualifies herself from being the queen of the earth. “How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.” Revelation 18:7. Babylon cannot be the queen. Israel is the queen and will rule the world with Jesus Christ the King. I believe Babylon is simply world rulership without Jesus Christ and anyone in power that does not acknowledge him is part of the Babylonian system.
In the kingdom age Israel will be gathered to Jesus Christ. “And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.” Isaiah 11:12. Also the prophet Isaiah predicted, “And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord. And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the Lord. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.” Isaiah 66:20-22. God gave the prophet Isaiah a vision he could understand, transportation of the people by horses and mules. However, I believe Israelites will be transported to the new Jerusalem by any means at their disposal.
In the kingdom age Israel will transform the world. “He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.” Isaiah 27:6. The prophet Hosea wrote similarly but ended 2:19-23 this way, “I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.” Hosea 2:19-23.
In the Israel Truth movement we believe the lost tribes of Israel are the Anglo Saxon and kindred people. They will comprise the bride of Christ along with those adopted into the Israel nations by their worship of the king, Jesus Christ. I believe the anger of God is mounting as people pour out their hatred against his future bride. Eventually he will break forth in wrath against them. They hate him. They hate his laws, and they hate his bride. “For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.” Isaiah 66:15-16. The kingdom age is about Israel. It is not about the family of man or the church. To deny Israel her right as the bride of Christ is to deny all of the Old Testament prophecies.
