Impending Battle

Unless something quite extraordinary happens, January 2021 will see Joe Biden become President of the United States of America. I am not an American, but I do not see this as a good thing, however, I trust that Almighty God is continuing to work out His purpose in world events – especially concerning His people.

Just before Christmas 2020, some friends here in England bought us a copy of “Harbinger II’ by Jonathan Cahn, and whilst I might not agree i00% with Mr. Cahn’s thoughts, nevertheless this book is even more thought provoking than his first.

America has sinned greatly against God in many ways – so have all the Israel nations of the Christian West – and as a messianic Jew, Jonathan Cahn is probably better placed than most people in being able to show how God’s wrath is already being directed against His people in that land.

Jonathan does not seem to be – officially at least – aware of the identity of the Anglo-Saxon-Celto peoples of the West, and he does not mention Britain or the British. But he does believe that America was founded upon Christianity and God’s Holy Laws, and dedicated to Almighty God. He says therefore that in turning away from God and His Laws, America is truly drawing God’s wrath upon her,

In fact, he shows how all the events that have – and are continuing to – take place since 911 in New York back in 2001, are mirroring events that took place in the nations of Israel and Judah as they turned away from the Lord God.

The harbinger itself is the site of New York. as this is where the United States began, and was dedicated to Almighty God. The event of 9/11 took place here, because it was pointing Americans back to the place of that country’s dedication to God. New York is also the ‘gateway’ to America, where many immigrants entered in, and it is, incidentally, the ‘gateway’ that is the way the enemy also enters to seize the land! The twin towers of the World Trade Centre were at that very gateway!

This too, was likewise in ancient Israel, and we remember how in those times, as our Bible tells us, there were Watchmen, constantly looking out of their ‘watchtowers’, and if they saw an enemy approach, they would blow the trumpet to warn the people of the coming danger.

The gateway or the doorway, was always an important place in Israel. A place where judgements were carried out, advice given, announcements made – and of course the entrance to the people’s homes were where the blood of the lamb was placed on that first Passover, to save the Israelites from the deadly plague that swept over Egypt just prior to their release from bondage in that land.

Reading this book also brought to my mind the answer to something that has puzzled me concerning Samson; “Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her. And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him. And Samson lay till midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron,” (see Judges 16:1-3)

I often wondered why Samson went to the trouble of taking off with the gates of the city thinking that perhaps it was just a show of his incredible strength. Maybe it was, but in taking off with these gates and posts of the city, he was laying it bare – opening it to attack! And we know that God did indeed use Samson – mightily – to fight against the Philistines – especially at the end of his life!

And speaking of Samson – who I have compared with Donald Trump in previous articles – I just wonder about Donald… – his name being Trump – and considering the blowing of the trumpet to warn of impending danger, well, he has actually spoken out against many wrongs in America, and he has spoken up for God and for Christianity. He has also been treated very disrespectfully, even before his presidency began, both by the media, and by many other so – called important and influential peoples. He has in fact been treated abominably! But despite all of that, he persisted, and would still carry on if the opportunity allowed. There are not many people so stubbornly brave in the face of such adversity! He truly is a type of Samson, and it is worth remembering that Samson did not go quietly – in fact, when he did ‘go’ – he took most of the Philistines with him…!

Therefore, it is possible that God may continue to use him for His purposes. If Donald Trump symbolized the blowing of the trumpet – warning the people of danger – and if his warning is ignored, then there is no telling what may happen. I believe that many people have heeded the warning because despite the apparent election results, (and there is much about that election that is very suspicious), it seems Donald Trump received even more votes this time than the first. And let it be very clear, that if the people of America have actually been betrayed in this presidential election, then no good will come of it…! God is NOT mocked, and His people are His property!

A great battle is being played out in today’s world, and the devil seeks to grab the crown – but his time is limited, and we have to pray that the Lord God will help His people to endure unto the end!

America and Great Britain and the Throne of David are part of the prize the enemy seeks – along with the rest of the Israel peoples in kindred lands. But we are promised that the Archangel Michael – the Archangel of God’s people – will stand up and fight for us. So, let us take heart and trust in the Lord – and praise Him and thank Him for His promised deliverance.
