Rock of Ages
America and the West has been under attack, and the enemy seeks to bring it down. Has there ever been such a battle? During both World Wars at least you knew who the enemy was! Devastating and terrible though it was – and we thank Almighty God for His deliverance at that time, for the world – but this current ‘war’ is now one from within as well as without! Like an apple infested with maggots.
As I write this it is still October, and so the Presidential election has not yet taken place – but by the time you read this it will be over. Whether Donald Trump – or his opponent – has won will be common knowledge. Will it be that clear cut, or will something totally unexpected – good or bad – have happened? I await to see, knowing and trusting that Almighty God’s Will overrides everything. As Daniel said, regarding the Lord; He removeth kings and He setteth up kings…” (Dan 2:21) (and not necessarily good ones…). Either way, the battle will still not be over for the land is divided and “…Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand…” (Matt 12:25). And this is how the enemy today is attacking – not just America, but the Christian West generally. For there is great division, and it is being deliberately propagated.
There is, however, much prayer and repentance going on, at least in America. In particular, evangelist Franklin Graham is being used by the Almighty to bring Christians together to pray for that land, and we know that the Lord will hear those prayers! Just as He heard the prayers of that great American President, Abraham Lincoln, many years ago, and gave him the victory in an awful civil war – and one that also put an end to slavery in that land. So why then was the statue of this brave and God-fearing man brought down by those supposedly fighting against slavery? Precisely because he was a God-fearing man! And because those terrorists and rioters responsible, are actually Marxist/communists, and would have us all enslaved under their Godless rulership.
Yes, part of the enemy’s mode of attack has been to haul down statues of great historical figures. Even here in Britain there have been attempts to do so – and I thought you might like to know the true pagan history of this action. It is revealed in a very detailed book obtainable from ‘Covenant Books’ (BIWF) and called ‘Secrets of the Stone of Destiny’ by Adrian Gilbert.
Mr. Gilbert tells us; “…the ancient Egyptians used to mummify their dead in order to preserve the physical body, and in their beliefs it was an anchoring point for the deceased ‘higher bodies, or the soul or astral body, known as ‘Ka’ This, however, was only part of the story. The Egyptians believed that the Ka of a person, that is to say their distinguishing presence or aura, was not confined to the immediate vicinity of their mummy but could also be invoked by means of statues. In other words, a person’s likeness, sculptured or painted, could also carry a portion of their Ka. Statues however were not only used in tombs. It was believed that a really good statue of a living pharaoh could function as a conduit and amplifier of his Ka… Powerful pharaohs (most notably Ramases II) had many statues made of themselves. This was not just a cult of the ego; they were attempting to spread their aura throughout the land and therefore make it easier to control. It is also why statues of earlier pharaohs were defaced by their successors. By breaking the nose or chin of a statue, they were also breaking the link between it and the former pharaoh’s Ka.”
“Curiously, we see the cult of the Ka statue even today. People visit Madame Tussqud”s in London to look at waxworks with those of high quality seeming to have something of the presence of the celebrity they represent. Likewise, today in dictatorships where there is a cult of the leaders. In pre-invasion Iraq, Saddam Hussein’s statues helped to spread his atmosphere and keep the country under his spell. When in 2003 the large statue of Saddam in Paradise Square, Baghdad was toppled it signified not just the end of his rule, but the dispersal of his Ka. This being reminiscent of scenes in eastern Europe and the former USSR when statues of Lenin, Stalin and others were similarly torn down. Again, this symbolized a change of atmosphere: the removal of the unseen Ka of a hated regime and it’s replacement with something else.”
Whilst we in the Christian West know (or should know), that statues have no life within them and do not treat them as idols, nevertheless such attacks upon the statues in our land – depicting great historical figures – are a deliberate attempt to bring us down, and attack our history. History is something that is important to us all. Our Israelite ancestors were told to relate to their children and their children’s children, feats that the Lord had performed for them. Their deliverances, their failures when they turned from Almighty God, and Promises given on their behalf to the patriarchs – Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And it is the same now with the history of our Christianity, and how our Lands were built upon Christian values and laws, and upon Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. All these are what are under attack. Especially our ‘Rock of Ages’ – Jesus Christ.
It is somewhat ironic, that whilst the bringing down of historical statues is an attempt to cut us off, or isolate us from the past, and make us vulnerable to attack – Almighty God Jehovah, is going to bring about the opposite situation. For He has promised; “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” (Malachi 4:5-6)
This, I firmly believe, does not mean the healing of any ‘generation-gap’ of today’s parents and children. No, this will be a turning back to our Israelite ancestors, the patriarchs of the Bible. For Our Heavenly Father is going to open ours eyes, hearts and minds as to who we are! The word translated ‘heart’ here (in Strong’s) is also used very widely for the feelings, the will, and even the intellect, also understanding and wisdom (amongst others). Therefore, the actions of our enemies, through which they believe they will deprive us of perhaps the ‘strength and power’ of our historical ‘heroes’ will be null and void – ultimately! For once the eyes, and hearts of God’s people are opened as to who they actually are, they will realize their sins against the Lord, and turn back to Him, repenting of their waywardness, and become reunited into His care.
So; “…fear not little flock, for it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom….” Fear not, indeed, and with all that is happening in our world at present – let go of any worry and stress, about the situation, and place yourselves in the Lord’s hands. He will not let us down! Amen!
