Down Memory Lane With Eleanor & Mary

In the late Eleanor Russell’s (left) own words, she wrote, “After the banquet on Saturday evening, at our 2005 Conference in Toronto (BIWF), I was to introduce Brooks Alden. At dinner, he jokingly suggested an Ed. McMahon type introduction, Here’s –s-s-s-s-s Johnny. Well , Mary Bennett, President of Canadian British Israel Association and myself thought we would have some fun. So, in front of 60 or 70 people, we yelled, Here’s-s-s-s-s Broooooks. The photo showed a really red-faced speaker. But, being the ham that he is, it didn’t interfere with his message.” Eleanor went on, “It was a fun night”.
