Earth In Turmoil
“The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.” (Isa. 24:19-20)
The whole earth is shaking. Not only are the foundations of our faith being shaken, but the physical earth is also moving with earthquakes and erupting volcanoes everywhere. God’s enemies are doing their best to destroy our Israel nations and our Christian faith which is under attack throughout the world. I have heard the saying “Men make plans and God laughs” a few times lately and it always reminds me of Psalm 2:1-4, “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.” These rulers, kings, and people in power who want to destroy us are vain, egotistical and full of pride. They think they are winning but God has the last Word. His laugh is not a laugh of joy but of contempt and scorn. His wrath is being kindled by those who commit these evil deeds. His warning at the end of Psalm 2:10-12 is “Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”
We see that there are many divisions being created among groups today and it is creating a lot of anger between people. This can only get worse, as without God and His laws to guide people chaos can only develop. Everyone thinks they are right and therefore there is no absolute truth. “Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.” (Hos. 4:1) The anger that is encompassing the world, I believe is being reflected in the earth. The rumblings that are appearing in the earth through earthquakes and volcano eruptions are a reflection on what is happening on the earth. “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.” (Rom. 8:22-23)
The earth is moving. Many volcanoes are starting to come to life. January has been an incredibly active month around the Ring of Fire with just as many volcanoes as earthquakes and there have been quite a number. “A mag 6.3 – 186km N of Madang, Papua New Guinea just 200km south-east of volatile and extremely active Kadover Island volcano is the 10th major quake of January 2018 and the 6th of an incredibly active week for the Pacific Ring of Fire, with as many volcanoes just as lively as the quakes, 6 extremely active volcanoes with at least 2 warnings of a massive eruption imminent. This one, a major quake, is the 10th major quake to strike our planet this month and of course thus far in 2018. And with Spaceweather.com reporting the sun is leaking solar wind from a peppering of small coronal holes now facing Earth, this would imply that an impressive 10 from 10 major earthquakes this year have occurred during solar wind and/or a coronal hole influencing the Earth’s magnetosphere.” (thebigwobble.org January 27, 2018) As I am writing this article there has just been a magnitude 5.7 south of Panama, Jan. 27/18. Here are a couple of websites you may want to use to monitor the earthquake and volcano activity.

God’s weapons of war are the weather, the heavens, earthquakes and volcanoes. Man can influence some of these to a degree but in the end, man is limited, and God is in control. I monitor these earth events to see what God is doing. The earth may be in turmoil, but it is leading to a better world with our Lord and Saviour leading us through the mess.
