The Key to Understanding
It’s fascinating to look back throughout history and pinpoint certain events that leave us no doubt whatsoever that the very plan of God is unfolding exactly as He prophesied throughout the Scriptures. Yet, unless one is equipped with the key to the mystery, the prophesies will remain just that, a mystery. You see, the key is in knowing the true identity of the ancient Israelites. As awakened Israelites, it seems astonishing to us that all our brothers and sisters cannot fathom the truth. Still, God has a reason for this and the Apostle Paul stated it clearly in Romans 11: 25, “Lest you be self-opinionated – wise in your own conceits – I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren,: a hardening (insensibility) has (temporarily) befallen a part of Israel (to last) until the full number of the ingathering of the gentiles has come in.” (Amplified Version). I suppose this is why so few seem to grasp the message and why our mission is really nothing more than planting the seeds of truth, seeds that will germinate on His time schedule. I’m sure, as I am; every reader is somewhat overwhelmed that he or she has been awakened to the hidden truth. And I suspect, each of us ultimately grasps the enormity of the responsibility God has placed upon our shoulders; that is, to be his gardeners and carefully sow the seeds through our daily conversations, our writing and speaking skills, our finances, our behind-the-scenes work and through living as we should and being the examples God wishes us to be.
Of course, there is one other duty and it seems to come naturally when the blinders are lifted. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God,” Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 2: 15. It never ceases to amaze me, from the letters I receive or the conversations I have with other awakened Israelites, the depth of understanding that the awakened possess. The awakening obviously instills a hunger that never seems satisfied.
In my studies, I often dwell upon the House of David and how certain monarchs fit into the exact time frame for crucial parts of God’s plan. I wrote a series of articles about six monarchs a few years back, which I entitled “Monarchs of Destiny.” After such a study, it seems impossible that anyone could miss the significance, yet, without the blinders being cast away by God, the blind will invariably fall into the ditch, so to speak.
Still, think on this! Edward I fulfilled the prophesy of Ezekiel 21:26-27, “…I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is, and I will give it him,” in that he brought the throne to London from Scotland for the third and final overturn. Previously, the prophet Jeremiah had transported the daughter of Zedekiah to Ireland and her marriage to the Irish King Eochaidh not only represented the first overturn but healed the breech between the Pharez and Zarah sides of the family of Judah. The second overturn occurred when the Irish king, Fergus the Great, embarked on a campaign against Scotland, took up residence and called for the crowning stone to be brought to Scotland for his coronation. Edward fulfilled the third overturn in 1296 and it was no coincidence that exactly 700 years later the decision was made to return the crowning stone, Jacob’s Pillar Stone, to Scotland. And, as I suggested in a past article, was this transfer instigated by God for safekeeping purposes, against the day when judgment will come against the heart of Mystery Babylon? The return took place on November 15th, 1996, the birthday of Prince Charles, the heir apparent who seems prepared to abandon the Coronation Oath to Protestantism. Another coincidence, perhaps!
Edward I, despite his many great achievements and reforms, was not a nice man, in fact he was said to be ruthless. Nonetheless, in the world in which he lived, had he been otherwise, he may not have had the driving ambition to unite the isles. So, a monarch like him was necessary to fulfill prophesy. Henry the VIII was not a nice man either, very cruel indeed, very self-absorbed, yet, ironically, very popular with the people. Certainly, he played his part well and despite it being for selfish reasons, led England out of the grasp of the Papacy. It doesn’t matter that when Luther began the Reformation in 1517, Henry was a staunch opponent, so effective, in fact, that the Papacy conferred upon him the title, “Defender of the Faith.” Yet in turn he severed the power of the Papacy, he introduced the Act of Succession that has been so key in England’s fortunes and misfortunes and he set the stage for England becoming a great power. It may be baffling to us why God would use such men as Edward I and Henry VIII, who underwent such terrestrial struggles with shades of good and shades of evil but then, he used men like Nebuchadnezzar and the Egyptian Pharaoh as well.
In any event the stage was set for two female monarchs named Elizabeth, one who would oversee the astounding development of Britain and one the dismantlement of the great empire. They could not have been more different. Elizabeth I was quite likely the most outstanding person ever to sit on the Throne of David in the isles. It’s astonishing to think of her achievements. From a nearly bankrupt position when she succeeded Bloody Mary, she restored the prosperity of the nation through trade, agriculture and manufacturing, the birth of the empire took place with colonization, she ensconced Protestantism and she turned England into a great power.
But, you say, what has this to do with prophesy. Well, it can’t be an accident that Mary’s death and Elizabeth’s ascension in 1557/58 coincided exactly with the end of the sixth and beginning of the seventh periods of punishment prophesied in Leviticus 26: 18. If you recall, these seven periods of 360 years began for the House of David in 604/603 BC when Nebuchadnezzar captured Jerusalem. So, can it be a coincidence that exactly one time period later (1917/18) Jerusalem was liberated by Britain and the empires of Babylonian succession, i.e., Czarist Russia, Germany and Austria-Hungary, along with some lesser thrones, were overthrown. God is always in command.
Think of this time factor of 360. Apply it against 1588, the date of the Spanish Armada, the greatest military victory in England’s history and you arrive at 1948, the date of Israel Britain’s greatest military disgrace, as they left Palestine after a group of terrorists in tiny Palestine humbled the great empire. Apply it to the death of this monarch (Elizabeth) who so epitomized courage and independence in 1603 and you arrive at 1963, the tragic death of the president of Britain’s sister nation, America, who sought to restore the greatness of his nation by asserting its independence from the bondage of money policies. Or 1963 in her own nation when a Prime Minister, calling it winds of change set the stage for the dismantling of the commonwealth.
I could go on showing examples of this 360, or for that matter 400, another significant number, but you get the picture. And I want space to look at how God used her successor, James I, and future monarchs George III and Elizabeth II. James VI of Scotland succeeded Elizabeth as James I of England. Maybe previous monarchs never really grasped their role in prophesy, but this monarch did. He knew it was the fulfillment of Ezekiel 37: 22, “And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be a king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.” He even had a coin minted depicting this passage and he freely referred to himself as king of Israel. In fact, he was the first King of Great Britain. You will immediately see that the 360 year time period can be applied here too.
George III likely never considered himself Israel nor knew his place in God’s Plan. Yet he was the monarch of Britain when it first lost the United States and then gained so many other colonies. It’s very unlikely he would have read Isaiah 49: 1,20, “Listen, O Isles, unto me: and hearken ye people, from afar …The children which thou have, after thou hast lost the other ,[America] shall say in thine ears, The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.” [Other colonies]. God had decreed it, it would not have mattered if George conceded to everything America wanted, the split would still have taken place. The tribe of Manasseh, the early colonists to America, went into captivity in 745 BC and their seven times punishment was up on 1776 AD. At that point, nothing could stop them from being the great nation of Genesis 48. God’s Plan!
All these monarchs were powerful, autocratic type personalities. Elizabeth II is not and seems just to follow ministerial advice. Therefore, she has been the perfect monarch for the dismantling of the greatest empire the world has ever known, the company of nations of Genesis 48. Will she be the monarch who turns the throne over to Jesus Christ, as many of us hope? Who knows, other than God? Still, there are remarkable signal points that have occurred during her reign. I have written about them in many past articles; including the expiration of the 6,000 years of “six days shall we labour,” the beginning of judgment in 2003, the remarkable correlation between 1996/2001/2003/2007/2008/2015&2016 and much more. Of one thing I am certain, so much of the end time prophecy has fallen within the timeframe of this monarchy that it is impossible not to see God’s Hand at work.
I believe, as many do, we are in final stages of this part of God’s Great Plan. I believe there will be a great awakening one day soon and when that happens, those who have studied extensively will be called upon to do great service. In the meantime, we can but “occupy till He comes.”
Editor’ Comments: A New Brunswicker, a friend of my brother, sent me two of his books in response to a DVD presentation of one of my messages last July to the BIWF Conference, England. He is a wonderful writer with the knack of making his words so easily understandable. Basically, they entailed his spiritual journey through a part of his life where great challenges were strewn in his path and how they led to his faith. Yet, there was something in his words that prompted me to write him and part of what I said was, “But, you know, …, you remind me a little like me twenty years ago, because as I read your books, particularly, “My Spiritual Journey” I couldn’t help but think this is a man still searching, that although extremely knowledgeable, hasn’t quite grasped the key to understanding the Scriptures. And that is too bad because once understood, then the Bible, the hidden meaning of most of the verses throughout and God’s simple Plan lights up the passages of our minds”.
Now this is a remarkable man because he didn’t go into denial or get his back up, but, in an obviously thoughtful manner, responded in part, “I do struggle with the journey. As a result of reading a number of books in preparation of writing my second book, I am left with doubts. In reading the Bible I cannot distinguish between truth and hyperbole [exaggeration]….. I still enjoy going to church and find it comforting.”
I decided to respond by sending him a copy of this magazine, that contains the following article. Who knows, maybe it will lead to his beginning a study of the Israel Truth” and a realization there is a great difference between the “Israelites” and the “Jews”.
