There is something very puzzling about timing. We totally understand when we say two plus two equals four but when we say four and a bit, it doesn’t make sense. So when God basically said, “Six days shall we gather and one day we shall rest” and God’s day being 1,000 years, as espoused by the Apostle Peter (Chapter 3:8); and if Bible scholar Bishop Ushher is correct, then why aren’t we in the period of rest. After all, aren’t we told, “He Changeth not!”
God said that upon healing, Hezekiah, on the third day, would go up to the house of the Lord
If we were to go with an almost universally accepted Bishop Ussher’s dating of 4004BC as a beginning point, the six days would have expired in 1997 (adding one year for the cross over from 1 BC to 1 AD). Yet, it most certainly isn’t a Kingdom like feeling we are experiencing.
Howard Rand, a twentieth century Bible scholar believes that Ussher’s only error was in assuming that the nativity of our Saviour was four years after instead of four years before the commonly quoted 4000 A.M. When applied, Rand would have the six days running to 2005. But again, difficulties have abounded since then.
A Bible chronology scholar by the name of Dimbleby and a Great Pyramid (The Bible in Stone) expert, David Davidson, both determined that the end of the six days, from their base of 4000 BC, arrived at the autumn equinox of 2001, the time of the tragic 911. It’s gotten much worse since. Interestingly, in my analysis of the prophecy of Daniel 12, I demonstrated that God employed different time measures in His Plan and that 1821 was 6 days of lunar time from 4000 BC. If you recall my recent article, you will recall that I suggested this was the beginning of the Esau Dominion and that 2001, or one-half a time, was the commencement of Esau’s harvest period.
It is obvious that the Lord did not return at the end of the six days, indeed, the Bible tells us that His return will not take place until the third day [from either the First Advent of Jesus Christ or the date of the Crucifixion] or, in the seventh day of God’s time schedule. From the Old Testament, Hosea 6:2 confirms this, “After two days he will revive us:, in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.” In the New Testament, we have the Lord’s Word in many references to the third day. He was resurrected on the third day; returned to Jerusalem after 2 days in the prophecy of Lazarus, and on and on.
As an aside, I wrote a number of articles in the past on the importance of 2003AD on God’s calendar and demonstrated how this year was arrived at in so many instances; that it was the beginning of the final judgment upon True Israel. I also published articles on how 2007 came up so often in prophetic interpretation.
But the question is, “when did the timing change from six days to early in the third day of Christ’s First Advent (or to the seventh day).”
Do you suppose the answer lies in the story of Hezekiah’s sickness, as described in 2Kings 20. Remember, in reading the chapter, we must always be aware that a Bible recorded event or story of the past can very often parallel a projection into the era in which we live. God has a wonderful way of taking a small, sometimes major, incident and making it into a much stronger incident in our era. Yet, both the event and the projection are invariably linked together.
Space prevents me from getting too deep into the story, or, the prophecy, but let’s look at a few of the highlights. Hezekiah is sick and is about ready to die. This is very similar to the true Israel nations today; we are sick and are sinking fast under the Dominion of Esau. Incidentally, the name “Hezekiah” means “Yahweh Strengthens,” and in our era, this could possibly refer to True Israel praying to God for His protection. In Hezekiah’s day, after pleading with the Lord for healing, the Lord heard his prayer and said He would heal Hezekiah. It reminds me of 2Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” So when we the nation go to its knees and prays to God, He will heal our land.
Here’s the interesting part, God said that upon healing, Hezekiah, on the third day, would go up to the house of the Lord. Isn’t this what Hosea prophecies of our healing. “Come and let us return unto the Lord …. He will heal us ……… After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.”
It was at this point that God added 15 years to Hezekiah’s life; Hezekiah, the strengthened of Yahweh or perhaps, in our era, “True Israel.”
Hezekiah’s ailment was a boil and was cured by an application of a lump of figs. Now a boil is full of impurities that poison the body. All of us realize that the Israel nations today have been so controlled through the Esau Dominion that we are poisoned with such immorality and wickedness that we will only be healed by the return of our wonderful Saviour. His return to heal us might be likened to the lump of figs applied to the uncleanness in Hezekiah’s day.
But adding 15 years to the six days finds us in the seventh day when we could well see the return of Christ and the wonder of His Kingdom, perhaps as glimpsed by Peter, James and John at the transfiguration. Notice that it was in the seventh day, “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James and John his brother ….. “ (Matthew 17:1)
Now adding 15 years to the earlier mentioned dates is bound to disappoint those who have hoped 2012 might be the long anticipated time, but they might be buoyed that it is at least one of the dates. Let’s look:
Year 1997 plus 15 equals 2012
Year 2001 plus 15 equals 2016
Year 2003 plus 15 equals 2018
Year 2005 plus 15 equals 2020
Year 2007 plus 15 equals 2022
I recall a few years ago at the BIWF conference in Toronto that Alan Campbell suggested that 2012 might well be the year and it does have much going for it that the other years mentioned above don’t. To demonstrate this, let’s consider the distances from each year to 2012, employing the meanings of the numbers as described by Ed Vallowe in his book “Biblical Mathematics.”
From Ussher’s 1997 to 2012 is 15 years, 15 being the number for rest. Could this correlate to Lamentations 4:22, “The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished …” meaning if 2012 is indeed the year, True Israel will be at rest.
From Dimbleby & Davidson’s 2001 is 11 years, 11 being the number for judgment. Can this be related to Lamentations 4:22 as well, “…..he will visit thine iniquities, O daughter of Edom, he will discover thy sins.”
From 2003 to 2012 is 9 years, 9 speaks of finality or Divine Completeness from the Lord. Will man be made good in the new Birth.
From 2005 to 2012 is 7 years, 7 denoting completeness and perfection.
From 2007 to 2012 is 5 years, 5 stands for Grace or God’s Goodness.
You have to admit these numbers are intriguing. But poor Brooks, he has been wrong in his interpretations before. Still???
